Morrissey leads festival showcase
Morrissey and KT Tunstall will be among the artists featured in a BBC showcase at next month's South By Southwest music festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
The internationally-renowned festival features over a thousand bands and artists performing in a variety of venues from stadiums to small bars.

Programmes from the festival will be hosted by some of BBC Radio's top DJs, such as Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe.

Coverage will run on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music from 15-20 March.

The festival sees hundreds of music industry figures descend on the city to discuss the latest issues and search for new talent.

A special Texan season will feature on Radio 2 and 6 Music.

The Radio 2 artist showcase will feature Morrissey, Goldfrapp, The Zutons, Corinne Bailey Rae and Richard Hawley, while BBC 6 Music showcases KT Tunstall, Editors, Jim Noir, The Feeling and Brakes.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Guillemots, Boy Kill Boy and Dirty Pretty Things will feature on Radio 1's SXSW coverage.

SXSW is an influential platform for British talent, with James Blunt and the Kaiser Chiefs among the acts creating a buzz at the event last year.
