Is Born to Harangue as serious as they say?

oh dear, my honey bunny is having a little pout!!!! let's all be nice to him, guys!!!

There's a disgraceful - a dismal - lack of Christopher Cross on this website. I searched and I could only find four mentions of him, and two of those four mentions were negative. Some of you have no shame :mad:

EDIT: And no, before some wise alec chimes in: Kris Kross were not better than Christopher Cross. I'm listening to Ride Like the Wind again and I'm biting my lip like David Brent while I do it.

Please die.

My Samsung Galaxy phone just crashed and I lost everything that I had saved on it over the past 3 years , including most of my statistics for different games, photos, JEOPARDY EPISODES I had downloaded(!!!), recordings, and my precious notes. I can’t even switch the phone back on now, but luckily I have this iPhone SE that I bought a month ago and hadn’t used yet, so I’m not going anywhere for the time being guys, don’t worry! I should have started backing everything up a month ago. I was relieved upon signing into my New York Times account and seeing my wordle statistics were still there, after 560+ days what a blow that would have been:cry:. I think my 500 days of Framed statistics are gone for good though. The screen on this iPhone SE is so small, it’s about 5 inches or maybe a bit less than that. I know some of you probably believe that 5 inches is perfectly average or maybe even slightly above average (whatever you have to tell yourselves), but to me it seems preeetty small, teehee!

EDIT: I’ve been thinking of making a list of my favourite singles from my birth year, but when the phone crashed I lost the list in my notes of everything I’ve listened to so far. Thankfully on a whim recently I decided also to create a YouTube listening log for that year, otherwise I’d be sitting here right now trying to remember the name of every song I heard.

Think About It GIF by Identity

1989 singles listened to (ongoing):
YOUTUBE PLAYLIST REMOVED FOR NOW!

EDIT (2) Good news everyone! It took me a few hours but I was able to get my old phone to stay switched on long enough without it crashing so that I could retrieve the code from the Framed site to transfer my stats to my new phone. I know some of you must have been worried sick about that. A solution for the downloaded Jeopardy episodes was also found. I’m still going to lose some stuff but you can all rest easy now, the damage isn’t as bad as originally feared.

Maybe you should go to Amsterdam and wash dishes with your kewl cousin, honey bunny!! You might meet a nice girl who isn't turned off by you being a wigger!!

So, honey buns! if one is supposed to own a house by the time they're 35, why don't you even own a computer?!

I don’t own a computer because mine broke down at the start of 2017 and I didn’t replace it. Everything I want is on my phone so why would I go out and buy another computer? If I feel like listening to music on YouTube with better speakers I access it through my TV. I had desktop computers/laptops for over 10 years and I can’t think of anything I’m missing out on by only using a phone. Maybe it’s unfathomable to you because you barely know how to use a smartphone, which you’ve admitted to! That time a year or two ago when you had to buy a phone to get access to your Suede tickets was like the worst ordeal you’ve ever had to endure.

And did I say I own a home  ? @Aubrey McFate needs to have a word with you about your reading comprehension. When the Irish government is flooding the country with people which creates more competition in the housing market and raises prices, buying a house has never been more difficult. It’s a far cry from when my parents bought their house in 1990 for £17,000. Even my €440 monthly rent in the city in 2015-2016 seems inconceivable now.

Some people land on their feet: I can think of about five family members/neighbours who were given a house or land when they were in their 20s. I’m not one of those people who got property handed to him; judging by some of the actions of those family members they didn’t even appreciate being gifted a place to live when they were so young. What I was saying about my cousin was that if he worked and built his money while living in his parents’ house, since he’s not renting, he would be able to afford to buy a house in his mid-30s instead of rambling about Amsterdam on his own. Somehow from that you took “I own a home, as should everyone else who’s in their mid-30s or above”. I guess this is what happens when you only skim my posts that don’t have your name in them, but NOW, honey bunny, do you understand!?

so what DO you have to offer a girl then, honey bunny?!?!?! inquiring minds want to know!

p.s. you're CLEARLY not writing a novel if you dont own a computer.

Who here would like to speak on how photorealistic video games such as the one in the videos below are further evidence of humanity’s imminent downfall? Between AI and photorealism as shown here, it’s over for us as a species in the 2020s. Why can’t we just play Pong and listen to late ‘80s indie rock forever? Gregor, they’re going to force us to partner up with sex robots aren’t they, that’s the next thing on the horizon. Rifke, a cold hand just touched me 🤖. Somebody hold me (preferably a human, as old fashioned as that may sound :sob:).

whoa honey bunny! theres some creativity and a challenging intellectual take right there! so heartening to see you finally living up to your full potential, honey bunny!

also, you did not create this meme for me, since i agree with you about immigration and not agreeing with masks is not exlusive to not agreeing with mass immigration, you just thought you were being smart and decided to direct this at me because you could then be assured of getting at least one response. if nerak didnt love masks as she probably does, you would have said that you created this for her instead. you're transparent like that, fyi.

I’m running a few days behind but I just finished watching my first full week of Jeopardy! since November of last year, and here are my scores:

Season 40 episodes 1-5

episode 1: 37/61 (61%), episode 2: 42/61 (69%), episode 3: 41/61 (67%), episode 4: 43/61 (70%), episode 5: 49/61 (80%)

Overall score: 212/305 (70%) - my second highest weekly score that I’ve recorded yet.
Daily Doubles: 9/15 (60%)
Final Jeopardy!: 2/5 (40%) 😡
Responses I got right that none of the contestants got: 17 out of a possible 39 (44%)
Number of avoidable errors I made throughout the week: 21 minor and 8 major errors.

Scored 5/5 in the following categories (15): Sounds Like Food, African Capital Haiku, The Sporting Life, “I”s In Your Stars, I’m Just a Bill Billy or William, To Sir Paul with Love, Reconstruction (2nd category), Hip-Hop Literary References, Such Colorful Language!, Agatha All Along, Song Birds, Cat Lovers, Fire Z, Currency, Celeb Lit Before & After

Scored 4/5 (17): Renaissance Literature, After In Living Color, Potpour-Everything, That’s T-B-D, Play People, Stuck In the Middle Word with You, Straight Fire, 3 Consecutive Consonants, “C”s the Day, & We Have a Novel Title, Biology, The 2023 Time 100, Let’s “See”, Alliterative Geography, In Your Element, Thirst, Trap

Scored 3/5 (14): Science Class, Welcome to Miami, A Latin Bestiary, World of Barbie, Kin, Honorary Harlem Globetrotters, Greek Geography, Mississippi Learning, The U.S. in 1964, “M”mmmm, Let’s See How You Do with American Football, Pop Culture, Monet Monet, From “B” to “F”

Scored 2/5 (11): Historical Films, Quite a Fox, Influenza, Georgia On My Mind, Mammals, The State of Congress, Also a Candy, Pueblos Mágicos, 15-Letter Words, The Ohio Universities, Speechify“ing”

Scored 1/5 (3): Starts with “G”, Reconstruction (1st category), Building America

I don’t know yet if I want to launch straight into the next week because it’s a bit too time consuming. Five episodes per week is just too much (especially when the show’s difficulty level is about on par with Mastermind). I doubt I’ll reach 70% in the overall score again this week so I might just take another break from it

I set my old phone back to factory settings to see if I could download Jeopardy! episodes on it without having to put my new phone at risk of viruses. But before I did that, I was able to take pictures of these two drawings that I drew in an app on the phone in June last year. I know they look like a child’s crude finger paintings, but in my defence, I hadn’t drawn anything on my phone before and I hadn’t drawn anything at all in about 13 years!

Then I remembered I emailed this Bandlab recording to myself a few weeks ago, which also dates from June last year. Again, in my defence, when I recorded this I had only been using Bandlab for two days and still wasn’t entirely sure how it worked, so I was just hitting all the keys and drum pads and hoping for the best. I conceived it as a Frank Zappa parody hence the “hungry freaks, daddy” at the end, but I didn’t have the ability to pull that parody off and it sounds nothing like him (I had been thinking along the lines of ‘Ruth Underwood going crazy on the xylophone during Zappa’s concerts’). I showed it to someone around the time I made it and they described it to me as “the worst piece of music I’ve ever heard”. :blushing:
