Johnny Marr interview with a Los Angeles radio station a few weeks before the split of The Smiths. Very good info and one I had not heard before.

This interview always leaves me feeling perplexed and sad. Johnny is totally upbeat and positive about the future, getting ready for a US tour and opening the set with 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before', then somehow the band splits acrimoniously a few weeks later. Not a hint of any upcoming problems here.

I thought that as well... no sign that he was at all discontent. I also thought it was interesting to hear Johnny talk about his role in the bad and some of the thinking behind some of the songs.
