It's a short version of 'teachers' from Southpaw I just edited.

btw,it's a Quicktime audio file,so if you don't have a Quicktime player...

I have a Mac, can Quicktime files be played on PC's?
What I mean is can you get a Quicktime player for PC, or would you have to convert the file somehow?
Just curious.

Yes, you can download a Quicktime player for a PC. I've got one! Good luck!

Internet Explorer cannot download teachers 7 from d8.yousendit.com

What do you expect when you truncate a classic?

The sin of desecration crieth to the heavens.

Even the Mozzer succumbed to the temptation to edit WNM for Bona Drag.
His next album was Kill Uncle.
Coincidence?

Yes, there is a Windows version of Quicktime -- the video has never properly manifested on my pc though; sometimes I am able to view certain files by dint of changing the settings to 1/2 screen size. The audio works great.
I think that the likely culprit is corruption in the registry; noone else seems to have a problem with the player.

Sometimes i think 'teachers' goes on a bit.
i don't think it's very interesting musically and some of the instrumental sections drag on like a month drags on.
My edit is still around 6 mins.
I've never heard a live version of 'teachers', or even know if it was played live, but presumably, if it was, then it didn't last 11 mins 15 seconds.
I'm going to hack huge chunks out of 'Southpaw' next!

In this case, my child, I absolve thee of all sin.

May God have mercy...

Re: for instance, if i wanted to post a track from a CD?

At 2.'Select file to send' simply click 'browse'/use the resultant "choose file" menu to locate the file on your pc/click 'open' at the bottom of the menu/click 3.'Send it'

If you are still having problems, you might try this alterante site:

hmmm...did all that with the last file, which plays fine from my desktop btw..

I could burn the mix onto a CD, but then how would I copy a CD track onto my desktop in order to send it via yousendit?
I have a professional edit programme called Peak, which I can import CD tracks into and then convert to Quicktime files, but I can't send them anywhere.....
Anyway, thanks for your help, I'll figure it out eventually i expect.

Here is a live rendition of "The Teachers..." (6:24!) from Roseland, NYC 25.2.00 (audience):

Hey, Cod, I'm finally about to download that album you uploaded for me. Thanks again for that.

There's a Hank Williams MP3 in my journal, under my name LoafingOaf (link is at the end of the lyrics). I put it over there because I don't think it's a song people here would like...although maybe YOU would. It's a song where he's just reading a poem in a talking voice. I guess I'm gonna do a song a week in my journal...but just songs that touched my heart deeply.

Actually, the playing time of the track is 5:45, while my mix is 5:51...
Thanks for sharing.

I'd use an mp3 converter - on PC something like audiograbber, then put the directory address of the mp3 file on your PC/Mac into the relevant field along with your email address etc. and send. Bear in mind it should take a few minutes to upload. It seems what you posted earlier was a link to a stream, rather than a file.

It was a AIFF soundfile that I converted to a Quicktime Movie file, even though it was only audio, but I had no joy posting it via YouSendIt.
I've spent ages this afternoon looking for a free converter that allows me to convert CD tracks to mp3's, but had no luck so far.
I've just converted my track to a .wav, but I still need to convert that to an mp3 i think....
I'll try post it via YouSendIt as it is, but I don't expect any success.
I have these problems all the time being a Mac user, as I can never open files, the YouSendIt stuff people post never opens cos it's usually a PC file.
I'm in danger of sounding as if I know what I'm talking about here, but I'm very much at the novice stage with all things Computer based.
Hopefully, through trial and error, i'll stumble on something that allows me to convert to mp3 so I can start sharing stuff.
