If Bowie covered The Smiths

I was listening to Sheila Take a Bow and I realised how easily Bowie could've sung the lead and it got me thinking how many other Smiths songs could he have covered with style.

I think their glam / ballad output is most suited. Here's what I came up with...

A SIDE :
SHEILA TAKE A BOW
THE HEADMASTER RITUAL
I STARTED SOMETHING
PANIC
THAT JOKE ISNT FUNNY

B SIDE :
YOU JUST HAVEN'T EARNED IT
THERE IS A LIGHT
HOW SOON IS NOW
HALF A PERSON
LAST NIGHT I DREAMT

B SIDES / BONUS TRACKS :
DEATH OF A DISCO DANCER
HAND IN GLOVE
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

"You Just Haven't Earned It" would probably be cool. Maybe "Hand In Glove." Not really sure about the rest.

I can definitely hear Headmaster and Last Night I Dreamt. Not sure about some of the others. Interesting idea, though.

I can’t really hear any of that in my head. He could cover the songs for sure but I can’t hear him singing it like morrissey
