Ok, this is just weird. Why is Curtis modelling this...or should I say why are Schuh using this icon to model Converse?

There was that Doc Martens ad last year with Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, Joey Ramone and Joe Strummer as angels wearing DMs, but it got pulled. I just thought it was really strange.

I find it strange to use Ian Curtis considering he came from a time before people gave a shit about "brands". This came later during the greed ridden days of the 80's/90's when consumerism was rammed down all our throats.

That was my first thought when i saw it. I have never seen Ian Curtis wear converses or any shoes like that before.

There's a long poster on the london underground (Oxford Street, maybe?) with a whole bunch of music icons wearing converse.
Maybe they've split the long poster into separate portions.
