In a survey of people who live in my house the most unpopular Smiths song was voted as Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now.

Admittedly, my roommate did not vote but I don't know if he even knows that song since I haven't played it.
 
Possibly the fact that it's a really, really dreadful song?

Must be the only Smiths tribute band where the guitarist looks like Morrissey and the singer looks like Alexi Sayle:D

I'm confused by the original post...you do know that "Golden Lights" was originally sung by 60s brit-pop singer, Twinkle, right? If you already knew that, then completely disregard this post. If you didn't know, you should search out the original -- it's a great song.

Hello again,

Yes, I know of Twinkle's version of Golden Lights and I think is is great. We even used her version for intro music for one of our Smiths tribute shows.

While I was posting the I Won't Share You video link here, I wondered
what Smiths song people say skip over while listening to a Smiths CD and
why.

This comes from all of the tribute shows we have played where no one
calls out for obscure songs like I Won't Share You, Golden Lights or say
Work Is A Four Letter Word, (another cover).

Yes, this is most likely a bore for most who happen to read this, but
so it goes...:crazy:

I don't agree with Golden Lights playing, bacause it's not a Smiths' song.

About Smiths band cover, I think it's great.
