I thought of "Fat Bob" when Morrissey said this...

Morrissey said, "I think it's easy to stay onstage for hours if you just fiddle about with a guitar and keep your head down."

I immediately thought of Robert Smith. Did anyone else?

Oh my God! I did! I read once that The Cure do, like, 2 hour gigs and thought it must get boring. I'm not kidding!

I only have one Cure live performance to go on (Curiosa in Houston TX from a while back... The Cure + Interpol + Mogwai = oh my f***ing god what a great night)

Robert Smith isn't the electrifying frontman that Morrissey is, but he's not bad. The bass player danced throughout the entire set; he was indefatigable. Very cool.

The Cure's show was very good. First they played a set of non-single tracks and rareties. They then exited the stage, came back on, introduced themselves as "the other Cure", and played a greatest hits set. I'd see them again... but never before getting a chance to see Moz live.

(semi-related tangent:) Interpol needs to open for Morrissey. Badly.
