Thanks for sharing. I wonder is the 'modest student-frequented all-you-can-eat' Indian vegetarian restaurant the Bhelpuri off Chapel Market in Angel Islington? It would very much fit that description and is well worth walking a couple of miles to find. Modest, but amazing food. The knowledge that Tom Verlaine perhaps frequented is an added bonus.
