"I Knew I Was Next" should be the next single!

It's true, it's true

Of course he does have a history of making silly choices for singles/b-sides/album tracks. But that was instantly my first thought when I heard the song. I had "I Knew I Was Next" in my head playing nonstop for days... isn't that what radio is all about? It'd certainly make for a better single than "The Youngest Was The Most Loved". A children's choir? Please... it was already done by Pink Floyd.

"I Knew I Was Next" is a fun song. My biggest beef with "Ringleader" is that it's not FUN enough.

"Good Looking Man..." is quite fun too.

As far as the album though, I think "In The Future...." is the closest it comes to being fun.

Other than that, it's a pretty pensive, thoughtful type of record. Personal.

Yes, especially the "something must have gone right" part.

Yeah. And I'm not really saying there's anything wrong with that. Can't do the same thing over and over. So...I think "Ringleader" is an interesting piece of the long body of work. I just doubt it's gonna be one of my most listened to Morrissey albums ten years from now. But that's okay! Because it is a good record even if I don't play it as much as some of the others.
