How is the "official" Smiths FB group allowed to be called official?

Has anyone seen this group? Horrible memes, "what is your favourite Smiths song" threads and constant pictures of a guy smoking and drinking weak beer. Can't believe Morrissey and Marr have not ordered a cease and desist over calling it Official. The admins are moronic and spend more time posting long winded drivel than talking about The Smiths.

Are you talking about 'The Official True Fans of the Smiths and Morrissey' or one of the two 'The Official Morrissey and Smiths Facebook Fan Club'? I don't think these people know what the word 'official' is. Probably set up by foreigners.

Morrissey pooh-pooh's the 'official' Morrissey and Smiths Facebook pages, let alone crappy fan groups.

There are 2 Official groups? The one with cigar smoker running things is terrible. He represents Nickelback more than The Smiths. Didn't know there were 2.
