Hillary Clinton: possible secretary of state?

it was reported last week that she might be chosen as a secretary of state...your opinion?
did they report any further news this week concerning this topic cause I havent heard anything the last days?

I think some people are taking Obama's "Change" motto a bit too far. I dont think he ever said he wasnt gonna use people who have been in Washington a while, or familiar faces. I mean, what do people want? him to make his whole cabinet grad students?? no, he's smart and he should pick the best person for the job, whether new or old. and that's definitely a change from how Bush governed.
 
What about Sarah Palin?

Nugz has spent so much time posting messages about how she has a crush on Barack Obama, and worships the ground he walks on, that it's no surprise she's now posting that choosing Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State is picking "the best person for the job". Nowhere in her endorsement of this possible cabinet selection is a substantive case made to back up this assertion, which doesn't surprise me as Hillary Clinton doesn't actually have ANY apparent qualifications to be Secretary of State.

Pretty comical that anyone would consider Hillary Clinton the BEST person for that job out of the entire U.S. population. But, it's not for sure that Obama will actually pick Hillary, and if he chooses someone else we can count on Nugz to post the next day that he still managed to select the "best person for the job". Because he's just so "cool" and "sexy".

And so it goes.

I do think it is a good idea to bring in new people, even young people. But there definitely needs to be experience. I have a 30 year old friend who works for the U.N. doing something with human rights. Very smart guy, lawyer, and I am trying to convince him to apply for a White House job. He is qualified. I want a friend in the White House!!!

And not an intern. My sister was an intern for Bill Clinton. She had to deal with phone calls from reporters for a year asking for any sex scandal gossip. She did not have any stories to tell.

No, I don't even know how to do that. And there'd be no need to, as you post in every thread anyway (you have over 11,000 posts to my 1,710). But I did go straight to the Hillary thread, as I despise Hillary. And I replied to the person defending this Obama trial balloon the most. You still haven't said why she's the best person for the job.

And what makes Hillary not qualified for the job? Hmm? Answer that one? She's already been in the white house for 8 years and has been a senator since 2001. She's seen the damage the last 8 years has done and I'm sure she has plenty of plans on how to help our country combat that and get back to where we once were. Like when her husband was president and our economy and foreign affairs were top notch.

Sure there are probably other people who have been in office longer than her who might be considered for the position but to completely rule her out or say she shouldn't be considered at all seems dismissive and ignorant.

Also, be nice please. Nugz is a good lady and our solo vp don't forget.

if you would actually read posts before hitting "quote" to start ranting and raving, you'd see that i didnt say that I thought she'd be the best person for the job. I said I thought it was a good idea, and that I trust that Obama is picking who he believes is best for the job. so stfu :cool:

I don't like Hillary as Secretary of State, too hawkish. And she doesn't seem to be much of a diplomat. Why isn't Obama appointing any left wing democrats?? Most disappointing. :confused:

I agree with you. Hillary is not just hawkish ( blindly voted for the war like a sheep) but she also brings all the f***ing Clinton drama with her... years and years of baggage :(:mad::(

I seriously doubt that her or her team will be completely loyal to Obama like a Secretary of Defense needs to be.

Obama better not loose his balls like most Dummycrats do... :(

Not liking much of what I'm seeing. Recycling the old is NOT CHANGE!!! :cool:
