OK, so I finished the poem, and put it here in it's entirety. I struggled with the last vers..... I hope it doesn't let down the first two?
Well, here goes
Fate
There's a fire on the hills
And it's redening the sky
Spreads it's arms and slowly kills
I daren't ask the reasons Why?
Are they selling out there homes,
Cut the trees and burn the land
Took a million years to grow
Now it's gone for 'cash in hand'
To satisfy the Western Man.
I see footprints in the sand
Leading back to yesteryear
Where the 'red man' faught so proud
While his family hid in fear
20 Dollars for each scalp
The cowboy carries all he can
Sais he's only trying to help
The never ending caravan
To build new homes for Western Man
Rainbows floating on the sea
Reflecting battles lost and won
Sayd they were fighting to be free
So when will that freedom come?
Do we realy know our path
Should we retrace it while we can
Because tomorow comes so fast
And holds the power in her hand
To seal the fate of Western Man
