Your Arsenal: Revisiting Morrissey’s Iconic Album

Revisiting Morrissey’s Your Arsenal As It Turns 29
When Morrissey parted ways with fellow band members of The Smiths in 1987, few could’ve predicted in which direction his music career would go. Would the solo Morrissey “sound” be vastly different from the iconic band? Few doubted that Morrissey’s unique blend of onstage charisma, vocal style and witty, raw lyrics were integral to the overall appeal of The Smiths — yet there was still the question of how he was going to carve out his own place, as he stood facing his future as a solo artist.

FWD.

"Morrissey’s work on Your Arsenal made it easy to see why he was then — and still is — a much loved and revered figure in the music industry"

Is she mental?

í'd actually rather read DJ Dave Haslam's collected set-lists than Ms D's Moz misfire missives.

í just don't know how you even come to write this...one can't even call it, badly.
Bad writing is at least stimulating. This is English language writing that manages to say almost nothing about the subject at hand, either factually or emotionally. The level of grammar and sentence construction and pace is almost surreal in it's blankness. If í didn't know better, í could almost believe that it takes a great deal of time and hard work and mental effort to create a piece this...vanilla. Like a kind of Warholian type of genius. Pretty sure that's not the case here.

She seems a lovely enough person, with kids, cats, coffee, Chucky, Etc?
But í still, after trudging through multiple essays, have zero idea why she sees fit to write about Morrissey. í don't doubt that she likes him, but after XX thousand words í could not hazard one guess as to why
So, what..is..it..for..?

.

Peeps, dont feed the trolls. Please refrain.;)
do you think it possible to attend 'hundreds' of shows without being seen by anyone outside of their troll element?
more importantly, how can someone who is a "mcmuffin guzzler" able to survive more than a handful of Moz shows? there is no meat for mcmuffins at moz shows, the guzzler would have starved long ago.
would a so called 'fan' claim to purchase a Moz item and directly go
to McDonalds with it? and guzzle Mcmuffins? are there any peeps out there who actually think any of this is possible? is anyone simple minded enough to believe this? or that robocop has ever seen the inside of a 'gym'. peeps please.

:hammer:

Ha ha, exactly this! It's almost as if you programmed an AI to try to write a positive article about Morrissey based on a corpus of previous reviews (not the classic, well written ones) etc, it would come up with something like this. There's just no feeling here, at all.

Just for the record, no pun intended, she's not the one posting this article here.
She writes for 'medium.com' or The Riff from what I can ascertain. I assume FWD retrieved it and posted it here as it was considered to be of interest.

HATER!!!

Viva! ♡

Morrissey's career from 1984 to 1994 was as perfect as anyone's could hope to be. Your Arsenal (which I will be blasting from the car later today) was flawless and he had one more gem up his sleeve with Vauxhall. Name another artist with a better 10 year run.
