Just wondered if anyone has any favourite Morrissey or The Smiths covers.

I love the ones done by our very own Franissey and UncleSkinny/King Leer.

I also like the ones below.

^^thought it was cute she done it for her Mum.

I like "Sweet and Tender Hooligan" by Nouvelle Vague
I also like I Don't Owe You Anything by Sandie Shaw
This Night Has Opened My Eyes, At The Drive In
Everything by Colin Meloy.
Billy Bragg covers are also good.

LOL, somehow I just knew he was a Geordie before I heard him speak. Agreed man, awesome cover. Hope he has more.

Here are two of my faves:

(There are actually two versions of this. I prefer the energy of this one found on the "Smiths is Dead" French tribute. The other is a bside to "Sun Hits the Sky").

(Couldn't believe it when they actually did this, just brilliant considering the quality) :)

They're all naff, covers are mostly awful, especially by peasants

I can't find out anything about this band 'Pasta', who do a gritty cover of 'You're the one for Me, Fatty' -

Here's a video montage that sort of works, for Nancy Sinatra's cover of 'Let Me Kiss You' (is Morrissey doing backing vocals?!) -
