Favourite Morrissey cover version

Obviously he did an entire album of them recently, but I’d plump for ‘No-one can hold a candle to you’, ‘Human being’ or ‘Moonriver’, particularly the 12” version.

Some of California Son is very good though, a vastly underrated album. It just came out at the wrong time, when the haters were going to hate, no matter what he did. A bit like the Southpaw / Maladjusted period really.

I didn't like CS, but if I had to pick a cover, it would probably be It's Over, which was superb actually.

Personally I don't like it when Morrissey covers a song however, I really love his version of Back on the Chain gang. A brilliant song anyway but some how he improves it.
