What colour should the light be next to the Kazaa IP Port? It's currently yellow.

Mine is yellow, too. Not sure what it means, unfortunately.

Oh f***. It's red now. That can't be good...

No, worries. I'm connected to you now.

Well that's clever of you - no-one's connected to me according to my traffic list. Is it definitely me?

I connected to your Supernode, but when I tried to download a file, I lost the connection. I haven't been able to get it back yet. Which files are which, anyway? What's the difference between big and small?

I closed it and reopened it, and it won't connect for some reason. I'll try rebooting.

As for the differences, big = big, and small = small. If you can avoid using the small files (intended for people with slower connections), I would.

Well, if we can get this to work...

...it will help a lot of people who aren't even having luck finding the files.

I still can't get a connection on Kazaa. Bear with me...

Now connected

Kazaa IP is 213.78.16.89:1214

What are you doing woman?

Why all the aborting? Summat wrong, or something clever and technical that I don't understand?

Also, can you do me a favour and try previewing one of the files once you have enough downloaded to start viewing it through Kazaa? I want to be certain these files are actually viewable on machines other than my own!

That's not me. I haven't been able to reconnect to your SuperNode. I connected once and that was it. Someone else must be downloading from you. I'm Hardwarechick@kazaa

I've got 7 aborted files in your name, missus.

Let me try downloading something from you so you can have access to my files...

Re: What are you doing woman?

You know what? It *is* me! It kept aborting because I kept trying to connect to you directly. But apparently since I managed to connect to a SuperNode with an IP in range of yours, I can now download from you! Isn't that brilliant? Well, I think it is!

Can you try viewing one of them while you download it?

...assuming you've got the Theatre/viewer plugin or whatever.

I just want to toddle off to bed safe in the knowledge that I'm not feeding people files of absolutely no use whatsoever.

Re: What are you doing woman?

Thank you, Lutewhine. You've been so patient, and I was so discouraged before that I had my doubts. We have to let everyone know about this KaZuperNode thing so that they can get the files, too! Once I have the files, I'll put my IP: Port up, too so that others can download from me.

I already tried, but I don't have enough of the file to view anything yet. Have you been able to view the files on your computer? If so, I don't see why they wouldn't work for someone else, unless there's a codec issue--let's hope not! It's a pain in the ass trying to find the right codec to view certain .avi files.

It's my first attempt at compressing video, so I fully expect that I've done something stupidly wrong somewhere. It all looks and sounds fine on my computer, but it's such a mongrel machine that I'm just a bit worried that various codecs etc that I take for granted may not necessarily be present on everyone elses.

Re: Can you try viewing one of them while you download it?

Guess what! I just used another brilliant Kazaa tool: AVI Preview and was able to glimpse the first few seconds of one of the downloads. It works! You are a genius and a wonder!

I'd give you a bear hug right now if I could! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
