This is a cool link for a great new band from scotland called Stroszek. It is influenced musically by velvet underground, Joy division, the smiths, kraftwerk and the post punk scene. It sounds a bit like the smiths with slightly bowie/morrissey vocals. the link is just going to be updated so please keep checking it for a few more new songs and please post back here to let people know what you think!

Oh great! That's all we need - another band influenced musically by velvet underground, Joy division, the smiths, kraftwerk and the post punk scene...

You know, I've just realised that's what is missing from my life. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU

Now - go away and think of something original before school tomorrow...

NEXT!

I work closely with this band. You should give the link a try before you hit your thirteenth birthday. Either that or you are a musical snob. these guys are sounding absolutely great. Keep your single-mind single.

For the other post: Yeah you are right, the cure are an influence on the band as well. Also are galaxie 500, moz, manics, wire, buzzcocks! these guys have got a lot of great tracks and a lot of potential.

Cant wait for their new tracks. They will be announcing gigs in glasgow, edinburgh and aberdeen in the next few days!

UH OH!!!!! Yet another shitty band "influenced" by morrissey/the smiths. Can't these f***in shitty f***in bands leave his PIMPship alone?? They'll say anything about being "influenced" by the smiths/morrissey or any other band for that matter just to get you to go out and buy their f***in shitty cd. Ill pass. Waste of money.10-20 bucks buys alot of YO you dig??

Why are there so many horrible people on these boards? There is nothing sinister about the above notice. This is a morrissey discussion board and the post is there for people who may be interested in morrissey related things. There are no releases that people are trying to get you to go out and buy by saying it is influenced by the smiths mr. illiterate pimp or whoever you are.

This band is extraordinarily talented. The lead singer sounds eerily like Bowie, but it doesn't have a negative effect - in fact just the opposite! It's almost like the early genius of Bowie, just that it's not him. (Does that make sense? ok.) The first song "No More Exclusives" on the myspace site is great - it really is definitely worth a listen (and eh, I don't take such things lightly!).

Just a little "clue" to the post starter: These bands will say ANYTHING to anyone to get you to buy their shitty cd's. They'll tell you they were "influenced" by their neighbors dog taking a shit on the lawn, and you know what? dumb dumbs like you will probably believe it and buy it.

No thanks on this "influenced by morrissey" band.

Infact, give them this message from the mutha f***in PIMPity PIMP PIMP PIMP:

GO f*** YOURSELVES,& YOUR SHITTY CD

you have always been an idiot. i do not like you. morrissey (not a pimp)

fao PIMO from GrimO

s'funny you keep mentioning beastiality in your posts, but now I see you've changed your tack from you "f***in hot ass bitches" to suggesting others part-take in your vile sexual activities, it might be legal in your back-water state but it certainly isn't over here, so you ought to becareful in trying to get others to join in your 'sordid dog-f*** world' as that is known as enticement & is felonious.

I've been away for several years now and on a whim I came to look around at the old neighborhood. Interesting to see that the old bully improper hasn't changed or grown a single bit since last I was here.
