Scottish singer Elizabeth Fraser, best known for her vocal work as the Cocteau Twins' lead singer, has released a new single called "Moses". It's released as a tribute to Jake Drake-Brockman who died recently in a motorbike accident. The single was recorded some time ago with Massive Attack's drummer Damon Reece, and her partner of more than a decade – and a close friend, Jake Drake-Brockman. Jake Drake-Brockman (18 November 1955 - 1 September 2009) was a Bristol-based English musician and sound recordist. Drake-Brockman was known to fans as "the fifth Bunnyman", as he had been associated with the Liverpool group Echo & the Bunnymen since the 1980s and became a full time member, as keyboardist, in 1989, using the professional name Jake Brockman. The 3 tracks single is available to download from all the usual MP3 retailers (in the UK), and a limited edition 12" vinyl single is also available via Rough Trade.

And there is light at the tunnel for seeing Fraser's first solo album released. A first attempt was set to be released in the Spring of 2007 but was canceled at the last moment. The album had 8 new tracks and 1 cover version and was to be released through Blanco y Negro Records, also home to Melanie C and Bob Sinclar. In a new interview with The Guardian Fraser says that she and Damon Reece have made "what might become an album". Let's wait and see.

In the same interview with The Guardian, Fraser also reveals that she was offered sums "beyond your wildest dreams" to collaborate with other artists – "the weirdest one was Linkin Park". She turned down all of them.
