There is no way that Morrissey has the money to buy all of the UK's farms.

It also wouldn't end the demand, therefore there would be a new supply.

Making the meat industry more humane or ending it altogether (which is a long shot) would take broad public support & legislation - so talking about it is doing something.

Meat Is Murder as a song & a slogan is pretty effective. He's made an impact.

My Dad cuddled a lamb & went vegetarian that day.

I'd already gone vegetarian because my How To Care For Your Pet Rabbit book included a chapter about how to break his neck, skin him & make a stew out of him.

Sidney would have died of shock if he thought I'd ever hurt him.
