Does anyone get annoyed at people who like The Smiths and aren't from Manchester? i know it shouldn't - but there's an intrinsic connection with being in/around Manchester and the lyrics of the Smiths

I've yet to decide which planet I'm from - and by around Manchester I mean like parts of Cheshire etc...

but I don't see what someone from Finland would get from The Headmaster's Ritual for example,I relate to it as I went to a Manchester School which was indeed run by belligerent ghouls

I see what you mean.
I remember back in 1986 saying to my dear old Mum that I could feel the soil falling over my head. Around the same time, I also recall that the sea wanted to take me, as well as that the knife wanted to cut me.

Consequently, I can really relate to "I Know It's Over".
