Audacity, my friend. Its free and really easy to work.

Click record and it'll record whatevers playing on your computer, when finished you can either edit it, or go straight to export. Where you can chose to export it as a .wav or .mp3

I use it already use it but it hardly picks up any sound

Hmmm have you tried increasing the sensitivity of the mic/loudness of the speakers.

Here's how mine's set up and it works fine
