Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love letter?

Not long ago, I was quite unhappy in love with somebody - and I wrote him a "loveletter", using only parts of different Smiths/Morrissey songs. I was surprised, how good the words all fit together:

Truly, truly, truly, oh...
Drank too much
And I said too much
And there's nowhere to go - but Down
------------------------------------------------------------
And if I seem a little strange
Well, that's because I am
If I seem a little strange
That's because I am
--------------------------------------------------------
'Cause I want the one I can't have
And it's driving me mad
It's all over, all over, all over my face
-------------------------------------------------------
I CAN'T HELP THE WAY I FEEL
I CAN'T HELP THE WAY I FEEL
I CAN'T HELP THE WAY I FEEL
--------------------------------------------
And is it really so strange ?
Oh, is it really so strange ?
Oh, is it really so, really so strange ?
I say NO, you say YES
(But you will change your mind)
--------------------------------------------
Would you put your arms around me ?
(I won't tell anyone)
Tomorrow
Does it have to come ?
All I ask of you is one thing that you'll never do
-------------------------------------------------------------------
But I know that you would like me
If only you could see me
If only you could meet me
-----------------------------------------------------------
So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Lord knows, it would be the first time
--------------------------------------------------------------
I can’t reach you
I can’t reach you
I can’t reach you anymore
Can you please stop time?
Can you stop the pain?
I feel too cold
And now I feel too warm again
Can you stop this pain?
Can you stop this pain?
------------------------------------------------
As I live and breathe
You have killed me
You have killed me
Yes I walk around somehow
But you have killed me
You have killed me
------------------------------------------------
And I know it's over - still I cling
I don't know where else I can go
Over and over and over and over
Over and over

I know it's over
And it never really began
But in my heart it was so real

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

not as actual quotes put put how soon is now(1st) and there is a light (last)on a mixtape(beside other songs) ...to let my feelings express through a song...it was pretty clear since i styled most of the songs on the tape that it is suppposed to express my feelings toward that person...actually the firstone i ever fall in love to...*sighs heavenly*

but to put it in a love letter ...wonderful as well..

the reason why i dont write down the smiths/moz song quotes in a letter cause i dont wanna expose myself totally.
.so i guess i thought " transmitt it hidden, through a song and not a direct quote, not to reveal my feelings towards that person too open"

WELL I think the last time I wrote a lurve letter was in.... 1st grade. So. No. (Dude never got it, either. I rule.)
I will if I'm ever in a horrible enough situation with another person that Moz lyrics would be relevant. I sincerely hope that never, ever happens.

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

I try and use a Morrissey lyric in every email/letter I send and often use the title of a song as the subject for emails. Just a little game and helps pass the day.

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

I've sent love texts that were Smiths lyrics. :) but never a whole letter.

i specifically remember sending "nothing's changed. I still love you, oh I still love you" once, to someone.

lame.

I try to throw something into most all of my writings. It can sometimes prove difficult for work e-mails :p

What are these so-called "love letters"?

I know... I still have this text you sent me. :)

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

I've used his lyrics in break-up letters but not love-letters.

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

Breaking up through a letter is the way to do it. Keep it up! :)
Well I didn't actually break up with this person in the letter. The letter came a few weeks later when he wouldn't leave me alone.

Oh, in that case, I guess that Slayer lyrics would have been more effective.

Not love letters, but hate mail, definitely...

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

I once re-ordered the content of "Sorrow will come in the end" to form a love letter.

Why hasn't she called?

Re: Did you ever use Morrissey lyrics in or as a love-letter?

i do not think i have, not really anyways, though i have enjoyed using his technique's for removing people from my life, once a postcard and once the modern age's postcard, the text message.
I also once told someone it would give me great pleasure to read of their demise in a route 3 pile up,inspired by his comments on mr. rogan.

i am more evil than romantic,i suppose.:rolleyes::p
