The market in Smiths and Morrissey rarities is at fever pitch right now.
A collection of ‘breathtakingly rare’ Smiths records has just sold for £50k while a 36-year-old Morrissey tee is on eBay for an eye-popping £1300.
So it’s a good time to chat to Mitch Harrison who has been dealing in Smiths and Moz gems for more than a decade.

Whilst I don't collect any more, unless I happen to stumble onto something that catches my eye, I would definitely buy a book on collecting if Mitch releases one. I love all the variations there are out there

its a lot easier to fake a signature these days with all the technology we have, will AI eventually be able to copy signatures.

Pleasant Reading.

"The green title of ‘Strangeways…’ is sun wear. Don’t buy it (this debate has been going for as long as time began)."
I've had several color different copies, it's clearly not a sun cover fading
There were clearly ink/colour differences in sleeve prints, but..
It didn't help the collecting community when certain known trash-fakers were attempting to fade covers to charge more (first hand experience) - so a bit of truth in both perhaps?
FWD.

Yes, been had. I bought a few things off an ebay seller. called Thesethings27272 or something , back in 2011. I got ripped to feck. test pressing. I can fecking fecking stand these fakes
A guy called Chris Harley used ro sell Smiths bootlegs he would get from smiths torrents and sit
He used to call it "boomer bait " , That wasn't too bad but I remember a couple of mates of mine, Craig Walker from Worthing, used to sell loads of fake stuff on ebay. I thought it was bad.
