Defend a much maligned Morrissey song

Now, I'm not imagining there will be too many people rushing here to declare Tony The Pony a work or misunderstood GENIUS! But...

I'm going to defend (I'm) The End Of The Family Line. From the utterly crap Kill Uncle it may be but it shines like a beacon and is Side Two's saving grace. A beautiful little tune with truly funny lyrics (Until I arrive, with incredible style) sung with Morrissey's breathy detached passion (I realise it's probably impossible to be detached and passionate but I think you know what I mean). Plus the completely pointless use of brackets in the title is very funny too. Isn't Morrissey great?

Now....go defend another one, Morrissey fan!

I don't really think that you need to defend that song, cause everyone I ever met absolutely loves it; myself included... And I like Kill Uncle. Ya, it's one of least played pieces by Moz, but hey. That don't say much. I'm gonna defend Satan Rejected My Soul. Well, just because, I like it!

I like "Alma matters" and "Roy's keen". Viewed by many as his worst singles, but I like em!

Please don't hurt Mute Witness. I have always loved that tune!

I actually really like Tony The Pony.
I could not defend "Get Off The Stage" or "Journalists Who Lie". Obviously.

Alma Matters is great! roys Keen was really good when he did it on TOTP, much better than the studio version

Not keen on 'Tony The Pony', at all. 'Get Off The Stage' is just funny.

'Unloveable'. I think this song is highly underrated. It has always been one of my favorites.

"Death at One's Elbow" is one of my favorites off "Strangeways"

There. I said it.

why do we need to defend any morrissey song? i don't see the need to

Nice one. I am with you on that.

Re: Sorrow Will Come In The End

A great song, though you obviously need to be in the right vengeful mood.

> You don't have to if you don't want to.

No -- you must! If you don't, you will be slowly devoured by a small pack of animals. Nobody wants that.

"With my hands on my head, I'll flop on your bed"

I really like the song 'Maladjusted'. The album gets a knock, and I think the song doesn't get the credit it deserves.

For once I agree with you Bluenose(it must be passed my bedtime).

However, trust you to nominate a song with the word "bed" in it. You are an obsessed animal.
