The Decemberists new live album contains their song "We Both Go Down Together" which is inspired in part by "Angel, Angel...." The song depicts a romantic double suicide. On the live CD, singer Colin Meloy sings the lines 'Angel, don't take your life/Some people have got no pride/They do not understand/The urgency of life/But I love you more than life.'
