'Cos I'm such a nice guy an' all here's some David Johansen solo albums pre-Buster. They're not the easiest to get hold off so there's probably at least one person who's interested and hasn't got them.

No, not really. It's more straight-ahead rock & a few ballads. His first solo album is the best of the bunch- full of excellent songwriting & killer playing. The live album is great, too. I remember seeing him when he was touring in the late 1970's & the band he had with him (including Sylvain Sylvain, Buss Verno, Thomas Trask, Johnny Rao & Frankie LaRocka) was smokin' hot!
