Bowie flirted with Nazis the same way Mozza did with the Union Flag.

Both were blown out out of proportion and reality by the UK press.

Bowie since apologised for any offence given to some poor little petals, whilst seemingly bemused at thick f***s who didn't get it. Mozza sort of has but defended his corner.

I mean, I'm always standing in line to throw a stone at Morrissey, but give him a break. For one thing everyone and their pet octopus has written an essay on what Bowie meant to them. Why would Morrissey want to add to the flood? Also, Morrissey was in a strange position with David Bowie. He had sort of known him so he wasn't just a fan like he was to Lou Reed, but then it turned sour and maybe he feels like it's difficult to address all those feelings. Iggy Pop wrote about his estranged relationship with Bowie in a nice piece a couple of days ago if you haven't seen it. Anyway, there are those two reasons, plus the fact that Morrissey vs Tony Visconti and Kristeen Young is still fresh, and Tony, at least, knew Bowie was dying. Things could have been much different. Not that any of that is about Morrissey, but to him it has to be to some degree. He might be very sad and disappointed or he might not be feeling that at all. Maybe he is in shock. He will comment on it when he wants to. Don't use David Bowie's death as a way to find fault with Morrissey.
