Damn! The Morrissey performance on the KCRW website turned out to be BILL Morrissey

And that is relevant because? And, for what it is worth, I live in MUSKOGEE.

Oh, I think I understand...

I was refering to the performance archived at the website.

Wow, what a great site. I have cursorily found performances by: Cat Power, Cynthia Dall, American Music Club, Mojave 3, Bedroom Walls, Tindersticks, and even, for those who care (I dont), The Dears and Belle & Sebastian.

Oh, and jp, there is a Trash Can Sinatras performance too!

Move over, Suzanne...

It must be hard knowing that you are no longer the board's resident expert on rednecks and white trash folkways, huh?

Oh yeah, well I grew up in a city which boasts the proud laurel of "Calf-Fry* Capitol of the World".

*Hailing from the area, you, doubtless, KNOW of this "delicacy".

i think i'm familiar with the concept, but not the festival. even to people who live so near to Oklahoma, you guys basically didn't exist. sorry, that's just how dull your state is. a couple of college football teams and Broken Bow don't a state make.

our news coverage came from Shreveport, so we got mud bug fest coverage.

We do not exist? I am glad to hear that my state is so ontologically challenged. That particular conceit got me through school -- in such surroundings, derealization becomes an imperitative. Perhaps, this is the profound reason why, to this day, I balk at wearing glasses.

I am phoning my shrink, I just had a breakthrough...
