C'mon, somebody please answer my Morrissey/Violent Femmes question! Pretty please.

Do you like American music?

I'm glad you did repost this as I missed it the first time around.

Since when I was a Smiths apostle, I was a fan of The violent femmes. Like The Smiths, for one reason or another, I always missed them live. A couple of years ago, I finally got my chance and I can fully relate to your experience and would highly recomend them to everyone.

You are right about them having many similarities to The Smiths but I don't remember ever reading anything about that. You're really onto something there.

Your post deserves more response.

I can tell you when Morrissey saw them in London, they came on for their encore and sang 'What difference...' in just their undies.

Cult from Milwaukee to West Lothian

Major correction - Does it make more sense now?

I can tell you when Morrissey saw them in London, they came on for their encore and sang 'This charming man' in just their undies.

Giggling away to myself here. What made me post 'What difference..' originally and what made me look back at this post I will never know. Glad I did.
