I wish he was still doing Something Is Squeezing My Skull, that song means so much to me. Still be great to hear What She Said next week in Chicago, I love that song.

Let these Midwestern/Southern hick people have their say, just like places in Denmark, Croatia, and Australia who haven't seen Morrissey in 15 years, because he always cancels or just skips their cities , but NOW Morrissey really needs the money, so he is hitting up all these places now. They haven't been able to have Morrissey drama in so long, they need to let it out.

Do you really think he likes playing on Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, and Illinois? Anonymous-

He said he liked playing in Chicago the last time I saw him there, which was in 2006. Going to see him next week. Your comments about 'hicks' are pretty offensive. Not all people in Illinois or any of the other places you mentioned are 'hicks.' I certainly am not, for one.

Hicks? Really? I'm certainly not one and I didn't see any at the show. Is Kim Deal a hick? She was there.

He must since the 2011 Chicago show was listed as his top show from that tour.

We were there and it was one of the best shows I've seen. The energy that night was great with Morrissey really feeding off the crowd's energy and vice versa. The encore was almost out-of-control with wave after wave of stage invaders making a furious effort to touch Morrissey. I'm hoping for another great show next week.

I had a disability seat in the back row of the lobby level, far side aisle. This would be a great seat if no one stood up, but as soon as everyone did I resigned myself to a non-visual experience. During the second song the usher who had been sitting behind me asked me if I wanted to be moved someplace I could see better. The next thing I know my friend and I are being escorted across the lobby, down a long ramp, and through 2 sets of doors into a PRIVATE BOX in the front at STAGE LEVEL. So we were above the people on the floor at eye level with Morrissey. It was wonderful and I'm so grateful to the staff at the Arnoff. I let Boz know this happened and he said he was glad to hear it given that he felt the venue security was a little rough with the crowd.

:( I never noticed that at the Hollywood High show. How do we know that it was his IV pic line? Has someone a photo where you can see it?

Watch the movie and it's there. When the movie was released people expounded to death about it on here and he confirmed his "constant IV drips" via interview with reflector in s. America. So yeah, it's confirmed.

Disgraceful! Last time he came to town in 1994 he walked off after 27 minutes at the Taft theatre and left everyone angry. I wish it was sooner this time. In case you didn't notice the flags at half staff when you strolled into town Morrissey the video in Ganglords of Police Brutality was utterly inappropriate. Less than a week ago the entire city lined the streets to pay homage to a fallen police officer Sonny Kim who slaughtered as a Suicide by cop incident. The complete opposite of what you were showing. Instead of spending months digging up clips of police brutality of them beating up people in wheel chairs how about spending 1 weeks scouring the internet of them getting shot up by your "Innocent" citizens. You went to way to far and I am no longer going to another show and retiring my concerts shirts. No one was happy in the section I was standing in and the show never recovered. Little applause after that. Most of the people I was around and including myself just returned from U2 in Chicago where they talk about helping the world and ending sickness and hunger that makes you feel good and you preach hatred for the world? By the way you have figured out you are too old to take your shirt off anymore and get a new program. Meat is Murder with the video you did last tour and are still running it. Saw it Columbus. Red lights, gong etc. Got it! Move on. Changing the video to a 3rd world countries slaughterhouse manners is not my problem and won't change me. "Thats my excuse." Funny my human verification for spam on this website was FISH TACOS? So long, its been fun as a fan until now. GoodNight and Thank You.

I doubt it would take anyone months to compile videos of police brutality. Just a few hours should do.

This brightened my day when I read it. There are so many people who are cruel, rude, or just completely indifferent to what goes on. It is inspiring to know that a 'gentle tone of kindness' can still be heard. Thank you for sharing this and I'm glad that you had such a good time.

There probably is, so many people were on their phones. Quite a few folks around me spent most of the show looking down.

Were you one of the hopefuls?

People just don't know the art of getting on stage fast. First they would huddle(attracting the attention of his security) then slowly put one knee up on stage and pull themselves up. It was like watching a slow motion movie. At this point the security were already on them. One smart guy during the encore waited till the other invaders were being grabbed and while security was busy got a nice big hug from Moz. Smart guy, wait for a distraction and pounce :)

I was the one who got through, but I have not found any video of the actual hug yet.

It was a great show and Morrissey lost no one during or after Ganglords of Police Brutality. Whatever happened to Officer Kim has no bearing on the fact that we live in a country that suffers under police brutality. I hope your nasty comment is removed.[/QUOTE

Remove comments you don't agree with? That's kind of lame, don't you think?

Does anyone have the list of pre-show artists who were featured on the giant screen (and the songs/readings performed)? The artists seemed mostly pre-1980s, and I found it interesting that The Apex Theory's "Apossibly" was included among the older gems:

Well, he seemed in very good spirits and his voice has been strong all tour. I'd never heard him sing I Am Blind in concert in person, so even though it isn't my favorite song, I enjoyed the experience of hearing it live. My cousin and I had been talking about we want to go to the Horseshoe Casino, which you pass on your way into town, so when he introduced "From the Horseshoe Casino...Boz Boorer!" we had a good laugh. When he sings What She Said he goes into Rubber Ring at the end and it makes you go 'OH, wait...wait, what song is this supposed to be?' ha I thought it was very sweet for him to dedicate 'The Bullfighter Dies' to Cincinnati-native Doris Day, although I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate being referred to as '162.' I would have liked to have seen a few more people get up on stage, but they were being pretty firm about it. When the lights came up I saw Joey and April up front and visited with my friends Joy from Cleveland, Janice from Pittsburgh and Diane from NYC out in the lobby. Good times! Come to think of it I didn't see Julia here or in Detroit - but she must have been, yeah? Yeah.

The show was amazing. Moz was strong. His voice was strong and the band was sharp. I loved the set list. The man has fortitude. He went to a conservative city and spoke his mind. Please keep touring through middle America Morrissey.
I had to laugh at the long rambling complaints. Listen to the words to "Alma Matters" dear complainers... he is speaking to you.
You would have to pay me to attend a U2 concert. Viva Morrissey.

I don't have a list, unfortunately. However, the one that sticks in my mind after all these months is Anne Sexton reading her poem Wanting to Die. That always had great meaning for me.
