Chicago question

If you want to get up close (up front); how early would you suggest I arrive at the Riviera on Saturday? His show starts at 7 pm, but I'm sure the doors open much earlier. Any hints. I want to be able to shake his hand.

In the old days we'd line up 24 hours before or more. This is Kill Uncle/ Your Arsenal days.

Last time I saw him live was '06; Aragon Ballroom; doors opened at 7 and I got there around 3 and there was a line of around 30 people. I asked a few of the ones in the very front how long they had been there and they said dawn.

Last year for his Brooklyn show I arrived at 8am and was the 9th person in line. The first and second person in line had queued up at 1am.

Considering Chicago is all GA, the earlier the better.

Has a lot to do with the size of the venue & how many can fit across the barrier. In Brooklyn as mentioned above, I arrived at 12pm & still made the very end of the barrier.
