BBC staple Top Of The Pops has been cancelled after 42 years on the air. The TV show was known for its star-making live appearances from artists who were atop the British singles charts.

It'd become outdated. Bands'll no longer be able to aspire to being on it now. End of an era for music broadcasting and a sign of that format finding difficulty keeping up with the times. That Andi Peters revamp was hilarious. Well worth the watch, but only to see all the bloopers.

It could've been turned around with the right people and ideas (think Later with Jools Holland on a smaller scale), but they were intent on remaining stagnant.
