Canada, Should I move there

due to the current state of the uk job market I decided to leave blighty at the start of year and came to melbourne,australia. great city, lovely people but really cant see myself living here for the long term and I'm considering canada but have heard mixed stories regarding jobs etc. I would greatly appreciate any advice on where to go or some more info about the place as I cant really find much useful information online.
