I like the sentiment of Paris. About falling in love with stone and steel instead of skin and bone. I also like the tune.

It was weird, people around me (I was standing this time, last time in my life I may add), they didn't seem to know the lyrics of Paris but they raved with Spent. Mostly very young and quiet people. I stepped on them with my boots (not sorry) :D

Certainly the BEST Morrissey gig I ever saw (or probably as good a gig I saw in London during the "Your Arsenal" tour).
The coince of the songs was incredibly strange... because his tendency for South American tours has often been concerts of "hits"... this time the set was absolutely filed with songs that probably only the most rabid enthusiasts know (i.e, Dial a cliché, Sunny and others).
He was VERY enthusiast during the whole concert, mostly expressing his happiness to the audience (for some reason he was incredibly happy).
The concert seemed to be mostly devoted to long time fans without the most obvious songs (except a few well know songs like First of the Gang to die or Every Day is Like Sunday).

The concert was amazing.... for some reason he decided to show his most "crooner" side and certainly played most of the songs by far slower than the album versions or the usual live versions... mostly playing them by far slower than he usually plays them.

for some reason the organizers of the show decided to hire a stadium that is quite far away for everyone, so it was very hard to arrive even by car (50 kilometers away for me.... but the road was certainly filled with a caravan of Morrissey enthusiasts, especially the last kilometers).

In short: a remarkable concert... and a weird and very nice choice of not delivering "hit after hit", but probably the songs he really wanted to play.

His voice began to sound a bit strange when he sung "Spent the Day in Bed" (when his voice began to sound a bit harsh or rough)... same thing happened in the next two songs "Something Is Squeezing My Skull", "Everyday Is Like Sunday".... which sounded fantastic, but it somehow felt that he was forcing his voice. I BELIEVE he had planned to sing a few more songs, because the end was a bit strange... but decided not to do it as to protect his voice (the last 3 songs were as marvelous as the rest of the gig, but the voice sounded clearly different, as if he was making an effort)... so probably he decided to leave the stage before forcing his voice. Then again, it's just a theory and the concert was remarkable, fantastic.

Most of the interaction with the audience was him expressing his happiness. for some reason he was in an extremely good mood (which was very nice). The "down-tempo" style of most of the concert was certainly hypnotizing. The place was certainly sold out.. I didn't see the DJ that played before the show, probably I didn't miss anything there, but it was really a burden to arrive to the incredibly unusual stadium that the organizers have chosen.

The sound was perfect, the band played remarkably well too, but changing a lot the arrangement of the songs (with an obvious intention of making them slower, which sounded surprisingly good).

Beyond perfection!

CountThree was there with pearls and boots and dancing and singing to the songs. :p

Gig score: 11 out of 10....!!!!

Viva Morrissey!!!!!!

Didn't see you! Did you wear a red T-shirt?
Morrissey was lovely, great voice, very handsome and warm. I'm happy for having recorded his first words "les quiero, les quiero, mamma mia, etc." and the first song.
I don't think the place was sold out, which I never expected considering the location of the venue, its size (it's big), the disastrous economic situation of people and the general mood in Argentina during 2018. This is a different country. That's why I'm very grateful with Morrissey for being here, he holds on to his friends. I love him even more now, if that's possible. Is it??

Loved the setlist and broke some ears around me (sorry). People was strangely calm except during the hits. Just missed Suedehead but you can't have everything. Next time, I hope. :)
We had 21 beautiful touching songs and a wonderful man for a night. Now my heart is full.:tiphat:

I don't think i even have a red shirt... red and my blond hair never matched. It simply makes a terrible combination. A simple black T-shirt (didn't you see the person wearing a plain black T-Shirt????). I saw you with the pearls, the boots and the cloche hat with a purple flower.
Oh, yes, i don't remember to have seen Morrissey so happy before... not even in videos. Hard to say why he was so happy, then again, maybe the simple answer is that he was happy.

The setlist was fantastic, especially because it was not the usual hits, but songs that mostly his true enthusiasts know (with a few exceptions). i loved that choice.

I think it was a sold out, except for the lateral seats at the bottom, absolutely nobody was there... I don't know if they were even for sale, probably not, because nobody was there. I think it was s old out... remember that our laws allow only 1 person per square meter... so it was certainly not like the subway during the busy hours (thankfully!).

Arriving to that WEIRD place was quite an adventure!!!

It was amazing for sure! I feel that the concert finished in an abrupt way.... probably because his voice was sounding a bit forced in the last three songs, so he decided to finish before harming it (it is just a theory, probably one or two more songs were planned, but were cancelled... the technicians looked a bit confused when the whole thing finished, nor there was the usual scene of the whole band taking a bow... maybe he understood that it was better to preserve his voice, which is good... Every day is like Sunday was certainly a great song to finish the concert anyway).

i spent the whole time dancing, probably a lot of the people who went there only knew the hits, which he certainly decided to avoid. Probably a concert more devoted to true fans than people who knows some 3 or 4 songs and went there just because and were waiting for a very predictable setlist of hit after hit. I certainly LOVED the down-tempo style that he gave to most of the songs, which was quite unusual, but sounded incredible. I loved his crooner style.

I told my girlfriend that I TRULY wanted to listen to 3 songs: Dial a cliche, Jack the ripper and Break up the Family... I was lucky, he played the 3 of them!

I certainly loved the direction that he decided to take... I assume it MAY be related to his plans for the new album with covers.
Other than that, it was certainly the BEST concert of him I have ever seen (and I think I saw him playing live a bit more than 10 times). The ones who BELIEVE that he is living his "decadence" are lunatics... he has never played better!!!!

I would like to meet to organizers and thank them... probably a meeting in Chivilcoy or another very "practical" place.... Thankfully the venue had a good sound, but the location was almost a nightmare!

Other than that, it was a dream-like concert!!!!!! I am VERY glad that he decided to play the songs that he almost never plays!!!! (which are actually the ones I like the most).

Lots of black T-shirts, as usual :D

In my square meter there were at least five people, so now I understand everything. People were saying the capacity of the venue is 15.000, others said 12.000. Mando posted it was a sold out, so that must be. Totally deserved.

Agree about Morrissey, he was absolutely charming and I loved his voice. I know it was complicated for some people to arrive to the place, but it was easy for me since I know quite well the area despite not living there. Yes, there was a huge caravan of vehicules but no more than the usual traffic congestion.

Probably -as you say- the concert finished one song before what people expected because it seemed to me that nobody wanted to leave at the end. Who knows.

The setlist above is right...
If it happened, it was not in Buenos Aires
It’s a cheeky reference to UncleSkinny. Actually he played There Is A Loner That Never Goes Out

Yes.... My hair and red truly look like a carnival. I wish I had black hair!

I don't think I even knew that tortuguitas existed!

We arrived using three different GPS combined.

I am still surprised!!!

He mentioned that the concert was going to be screened on TV in a few days, though he said "in the cartoon network" as a joke, but it didn't sound as if the screening itself was a joke... So maybe it will arrive to the internet eventually.

I am still awake
Simply too excited with the concert!!!!

How terrible was the DJ that I didn't see due to the weird traffic jam?

"I wear black on the outside, because yellow is how I feel on the top of my head!"
