A lot of'em only ever heard 3-4 Smiths songs anyway.
They wouldn't even know what to do if ya played'em
some of the new stuff.
After new songs I looked up into the nosebleed seats and I saw a lot of people clapping.

I did see a guy in the third row who didn't really know any of the solo songs like Jim Jim Falls. He was just stood there looking salty that this wasn't a Smiths Greatest Hits show.

There is so much info on the internet what bands are playing. Look it up. Learn the songs you don't know. Sing along. Have a blast. It's easy.. unless that band is Manic Street Preachers in which case you just show up after their set is over and Suede is on soon.

Congratulations Mozzy. You deserve congratulations, and so much more. Beautiful tour. Beautiful songs. Beautiful singer. ❤️

May the beauty you bring to the stage always return to you tenfold.

Some of'em didn't even know where they were.
Ya coulda told'em anything and they woulda just
nodded along in agreement.

He is still living in the UK , as of two years ago. He comes to LA a lot still, but he hasn't moved back but I don't know
I do know when he lived in LA last time, he spent a lot of time in the UK. That could be as his mum was getting older though.
Not sure why you think the UK is more fun than LA. I work a lot in LA but still live in the UK. I f***ing hate going back. The UK was much better than USA until 2000. Since then f*** all has happened. No great new bands, no youth cults. The country is now as dumb as the USA. The UK (especially Eng;and) isn't what it was. I would live full time in LA just for the weather.
See? I like the grey weather. Never was one for warm weather and as for bands and live music, there is loads. Radio and Television is better, too. I lived in the USA for a year..it was fun but do prefer the UK. As for Morrissey..who knows where he lives now. I met him once in a pub (Seabright Arms off Hackney Road) back in the 90s while I was out on a date. We had quite a few laughs when he was with his then manager.

I reckon the California Son is not being “cryptic”. This is it. Touring is OVER. He’s had enough of the lame fans outside of California (especially the human rubbish in the You Kay and loonies in Argentinnnnia, che). It makes him no money to tour compared to the jackpots he wins in his future home base. Yes, you heard it here first. He is currently waiting to close the deal on a vintage mansion in MOZ VEGAS, which is where all of you will need to visit on a yearly basis to see him perform during his summer residencies at Caesars. Unfortunately, his plans of opening his own hotel/casino in MOZ VEGAS fell through due to the increased costs of nnnnnit, mate!
Us fans in the UK are the best and everyone knows it

This isn't just a place to praise Morrissey, it's a place to discuss him. It's not a place to discuss me. I believe if you look around there are some explanations from David regarding this. But what I said is true, the setlist is very similar to previous setlists. I also think people in Boston do like the older songs better, since I live here, I feel confident saying that. There were a bunch of people trying to dump tickets to this show.
Exactly. Guys that just blow Moz around here are boring and not read. Thanks for the honest inputs and the majority agrees.

I was running late to the show on account of having a few drinks across the street, plus with it being seated affair (and having a good seat on the aisle), I was in no rush to get in the theater. I've seen the videos enough times. Imagine my surprise at 8:30, from the men's room, hearing "Alma Matters" over the speakers. A notification from Ticketmaster a day or two earlier clearly stated videos at 8:30, Morrissey on-stage at 9:05pm.

Oh well. I made it to my position by the start of "We hate it.....". As were many, I sang along. Then some jerk said to me (while filming the entire show on his phone, mind you) "Could you stop singing? I'm here to hear Morrissey." I nearly punched him, and I'm not a punchy sort of fellow.

In any event, the show was fine but I agree with an above poster that this was not a festive show. Something felt off about it. Of course, there are always songs from the current '22 live repertoire one may wish to have gotten instead of what was offered, but aside from setlist preferences, Morrissey did seem to be in a bit of a foul mood. He again spoke of the new record as possibly becoming a lost album, despite an official digital single release, and his closing words were a bit dramatic. Though, he's often said cryptic things at a tour's end that end up meaning absolutely nothing.

Overall, I thought this was a paint-by-numbers show.

As soon as SATH ended his personal security guard ran off stage with him. This was a clear sign that he was off to the car and out of the building before anyone could get there. This is how he leaves shows all the time and keeping the house lights down gives everyone more time to coordinate a clean exit.
Nope. Waited about an hour and watched him get on the white tour bus and leave.

sorry to hear about that jerk next to you that spoiled your show for you, it obviously colored the rest of the night.

Thanks. It did dampen my spirits a bit, but I snapped out of it.

Morrissey sounded fine, the mix seemed better during and after Jim Jim Falls. The choice of The Smith’s vs Solo material was fine. Overall setlist was Ok, but less than 75 minute show (including the encore) for a headliner is really short, in fact the shortest I have ever seen a headliner play (and I have seen many concerts), combine the short length with no opener, I can’t help but feel we got short changed.

Thanks the two Brits that I was having a drink with prior to the show, we were NOT late. They said it was time to go and sure enough, within 5 minutes of getting in, the show began. As noted above, if you got there at 9:05 you missed 1/3 of the show.

There seems to be some mythmaking here: 1)Moz looks great. Maybe he does look better than he did in other tours in the recent past but he still looks awfully old. He's got that school principal (or football coach), on lead vocals look. 2)The setlists are great. No, they are totally crappy. Mostly the same old tired stuff I've heard him sing over and over again salted with a few Smiths songs. The new stuff has a couple of standouts but it's mostly mediocre minus. There's no excuse for this with the back catalog that guy has. 3) Moz is really bringing the love to these shows. He's overflowing with love for you as long as you're not fleeing a war-torn country or ethnically different from the Britain he was raised in. If you are a dog you'll get more love from him than if you're human.

Insanely good setlist and there were several fans with me up in the nosebleed. Unfortunately so many people saying 'wish he would play more Smiths". Gag me
He played plenty of Smiths - I loved the show! Intensity was good - I was in nosebleeds and many up there were stiffs, barely breathing smiths acolytes - we should have reminded them the Smiths ended in 86

Can you or anyone else attending the show elaborate on what Moz said when he spoke of the BOT album possibly becoming a lost album? As Ketamine hints at below, hopefully your next show will be an enjoyable experience, sing your heart out, So sorry you spoilt that concert filmers video 😂.

Something like: "we've got a new album called BOT but have no idea when or if it will actually be released"
