Someone posted this perfect comment on the Car Talk FB page—it made me smile:
"You can pay your respects at the Will Diggum and Barry M. Deep Funeral Home."
Perfect.

No wonder very few here can keep up wth you. You have a gift. You were a cute kid in the birthday suit. And the green dress.
Sorry I'm an ugly kid now.

Thank you ever so much though for giving me such a tremendous laugh at your expense today! It's a marvellous way to begin my Sunday evening, before I go for a stroll down to Trevi Square on my last night here to have a picture taken of myself in front of the famous fountain in which Anita Ekberg once luxuriated so elegantly. This is the good life! I might even jump in should the feeling strike me!
Here's that picture of me by the way:

R.I.P. Anita. A re-watch of La Dolce Vita is in order. As for Percival, I might dig out my Up Pompeii/Up the Chastity Belt DVD.

I just realised Anita was in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. I'll get on that as well, If I can see through the tears (of laughter @ Abbott and Costello's antics/ of mourning for Anita).

^^^ He couldn't get away with that now. It's Mike Read Calypso x10, satirical or not. And here I was thinking he was a good TW3 never-out-of-line holier-than-thou socialist along with Levin and the rest. "Do as I say not as I do." Percival can sing 'The Maharajah of Brum', The Beatles can perform (the original version of) 'Get Back', and yet Benny Hill with his 'Mr. Chow Mein' dies in isolation. Ronnie Barker does 'Indian cooking', John Cleese gets Major Gowen to discuss which racial epithet belongs to which ethnic group; and Bernard Manning perishes with his reputation in tatters. Well, he didn't vote for Labour, did he? Besides, Manning and Hill were low-brow and appealed to the working class - the cause of all society's problems. But that 'Maharajah of Brum': it's a riot isn't it! Because he doesn't really mean it, it's satire! *thinking* But if Manning did it: well that's something else entirely, he had a Mancunian accent, and was born in Ancoats, and....

That wave of comedians had to go, and had to be battered into submission first so there was no chance of a comeback. At least they were replaced with "hilarious" university educated comedians like the Not the Nine o'clock News gang, rejoice! *crickets*

Now if only there were some way to 'get' Brendan O'Carroll so Mrs. Brown's Boys could experience a similar fate. Any ideas, Skinny? Can we 'get' him on diversity quotas or something? There's always a way, isn't there? Surely he'll trip himself up. And if somebody on 'our side' trips themselves up; well then there's always another way.....to look.....

HAPPY is England! I could be content
To see no other verdure than its own;
To feel no other breezes than are blown
Through its tall woods with high romances blent:
Yet do I sometimes feel a languishment
For skies Italian, and an inward groan
To sit upon an Alp as on a throne,
And half forget what world or worldling meant.
Happy is England, sweet her artless daughters;
Enough their simple loveliness for me,
Enough their whitest arms in silence clinging:
Yet do I often warmly burn to see
Beauties of deeper glance, and hear their singing,
And float with them about the summer waters.

[sarcasm meter disabled] Blow me you hypocrites! I see through your nonsense. I'm your biggest fear; someone capable of completely trouncing your arguments, of defending his own, and in possession of a spotless reputation, so unfortunately for you there's no 'get out of jail free card' when I have you backed up against the proverbial wall. What can you allege against me? I have my finger on the pulse. Take your pummelling. It's been a long time coming (30+ years).
(but R.I.P. Anita, one of the last of the Blonde Bombshells [Brigitte Bardot & Mamie Van Doren are still with us. Sabrina's still knocking about somewhere too.] You're now 'luxuriating' in the fountain of eternal youth. Dive in if the feeling strikes you! "Chapter one again.")

'Mozambiguous' - laid to rest on 1/1/15, and since then communicating from beyond (through Sookie the Medium).

Sookie here, I just received another message from Mozambiguous through the ouija board (and a picture, see below. The laughing head from the Trevi fountain picture is out of shot). He says: "tell 'em I says to P.U.S.H.O double F, along with an enormous posthumous L-O-F*CKING-L" - you heard it here first. It's the way he tells 'em (or used to anyway).

Mozambiguous also informed me that I may finally post his song 'Birmingham Boy' later this week (which has been ready since October). It's set to be a modest and respectful tribute to a Birmingham native, unlike the inexcusably offensive 'Maharajah from Brum'.

With my suitcase packed, all ready to step out from the page and into the [Con]sensual World
Wishing my friends on this forum the fondest of farewells... and Death to Ben Elton!

EDIT: Uh-oh, Mozambiguous sent me a furious message on the ouija board a minute ago; it caused the table to start rumbling! It said "Context, Sookie, Context!"

Addendum: I would have posted the live version, but that has J**** S***** introducing it. At least I didn’t post “Alvin Stardust at the Wheeltappers” which has a certain B****** M****** offering the introduction, which would have caused a couple of the people on this forum to start frothing at the mouth. Like I give a fcuk! He seems like an angel now compared with S*****, Rolf, and the rest, doesn’t he? He wasn't very funny though, but while Esther Rantzen and co. were deriding him, they were allowing S***** and his cohorts to get away with something much, much worse. Don’t get me started on what Ben Elton did to poor Benny Hill either; he can hang for all I care! And so can the rest of ye, on my every word! LOLOL!

Rod McKuen. Excellent songwriter, poet, sensitive boy and man.
Prolific.

I'm too sick to Anubis him the fun way. (Suffering a fever at the moment.) I'll do it tonight in lieu of animals. He'd like it.
