I doubt that very much :-) as for big tough keyboard warrior, looking at your posts the Last two words apply to you boy not the first two, here is one that does - coward

Can't believe I didn't click on that you are a terrorist lover.

Bombs in bins outside an Argos - what a tough bunch eh

I can quite believe you didn't " click on " I've already said you're a thick c***, if you don't believe me about Dublin please try it, you can join the disappeared, but you're too much of a coward to try it, unfortunately, anyway Ireland game just finished so heading out, I'll leave to to lick bennys arse, loser

Going out where, oh yes, in Scotland. As others have said, you are a plastic paddy, one of those typical gob shites who harp on about this and that but who would run a mile if anyone confronted you in person on your beliefs.

Have been to Dublin many times and have never had any problems, so your clearly not up to speed on what things are like nowadays

And yes I'd rather lick Benny and Brummies arse than show any respect to you. Guess why? Benny's and Brummies posts are just words on a Forum where they like to wind folk up, whereas you openly support terrorism and the murder that goes along with it.

For godsake not every song connects to one personally but most of Morrissey and the Smiths used to before WPINOB. I think that Morrissey view on song writing before was that how can you think of saving the world or anything else when you can't save yourself, when it takes a army to find a reson to get out of bed or to even be able to survive the week. Morrisseys change in songwriting reminds of John Lennons change in song subjects. John during the Beatles wrote song about his personal experiences,Love and other "selfish" subjects (i used selfish for a lack of better words but i meant it in a good way). But the John matured and "accepted himself". He realized that there was greater things to write about. Thus he started to write songs like imagine and Nobody told me. I belive that something similar has happend to moz but it is a shame because it does not feel like its true to morrisseys core. Morrissey had a amazing ability to make his personal experiance to something universal. He could strip any emotional experience to its clean form so that whoever you are you felt that Morrissey described you to the point. Who has not lied in their bed listening to moz and the Smiths and been dumbstrucked over the fact that he explain everything that you are in one single song/sentence.

If Morrissey has decided to think on a global scale rather than trie to connect to people on an personal level, than that is hos choice. But he and we have to accepted that he will not connect with us anymore. The songs might still sound good, be witty or intelligent and etc but the emotional investment is gone.

I sadly don't belive Morrissey could write songs like "i know its over", "well i wonder", "there is a light that never goes out or songs like "i've changed My plea to guilty", "come back to camden" and so on. But what ever direction he chooses to go, i will still buy his records and be loyal to him. He has given me so much.

"Sorry for the long post :()

Moz' outlook on songwriting or his emotional investment in his songs hasn't changed at all but some fans have. They moved on and lost interest somewhere down the line which is perfectly okay and also a quite common developement but they aren't able to admit it because they would have to look in their own hearts. So, everyone has the right to say that their feelings towards Moz' music have changed but to speak for Moz' regarding HIS "emotional investment" in his own songs is quite gross. How could anybody answer that apart from Moz himself? I'm pretty sure, for example, that there is a huge emotional investment in the song Smiler With Knife. Or does anyone actually think otherwise after this live version?

Apart from that you didn't really react to any point I was trying to make with my post which is that there have ALWAYS been songs which were just storytelling and nothing else.

I love the maladjusted reissue though the first was alright minus the title song. I agree that he somewhat lost his desire to connect directly with his listeners but the relations ships changed somewhat also. as for the lyrics id say that the biggest change is the absence of coyness that you maybe once looked for.

Very well put. I do miss that the most. The harsh directness of his recent lyrics I find to be a bit preachy and off putting. I think there is much to be said for the introspection of youth that allows for such exploration of one's soul. He was a genius putting it to paper. Aging is cruel in many ways. It scrubs off the possibilities and wistfulness of what we conceive ourselves to be and leaves only who we really are. The cocoon of our youth giving birth to an adult. The best stuff is in the placenta I guess.

Do you reply to your own posts or what? Quite sad, really!

Oh no i posted this. By the way english is not my first language. Please show some kindness. That post that mentions John Lennon is mine. No cut and paste at all. I repet the John Lennon post i wrote contains no "cut and paste"

One thing i don't understand is why it is under anonymous.

(Edited because it sounded as if i like WPINOB more that the Smiths. I love the Smiths much more)

I would have no problem admitting anything, but it is not me who has moved on, but him. I fell in love with the way he described the human condition and the alienation that one feels growing up an outsider. Not really fitting in, socially awkward, self critical, unable to connect, etc. etc. And the music was uplifting and carried his wonderful words, no matter how dark or sad, in a way that was uplifting and comforting. For me, HE has moved away from this. I am glad you are able to enjoy his current work. Obviously he does as you have noted above.

Wft happend with the quote function?!

So Art-hounds write something
And those that do are judged by those
Who tried and found they couldn't do

Written for people like you. Maybe you two should write Moz a letter in which you tell him the things he is allowed to write about and which topics he should avoid to satisfy your needs. Maybe you should also give him advise about how you bring emotion into songs because he, obviously, knows nothing about it. And, as your are at it, just take his freedom as an artist away from him.

Where does he fit in in the new songs? That's the question. I don't see it, actually. It's also quite funny that Moz is equally accused of "moving on" from who he was and from "not moving on" from who he was and it changes almost daily from the one to the other, depending how it suits people. .

Nope he is free to write what every he wants, i will still as i said, be loyal to him, i will still buy his records. But no one, including morrissey can demand me to feel anything for WPINOYB, just because he decided to try a different direction or because people accuse those who dislike WPINOYB of pigeonholing morrissey or "living in the past"

Even if i look past the lyrics of WPINOYB and focus on the music, i can't like it. Even the music is awful(sorry moz i love you)

Did Bono mention Glastonbury? Did he mention how he looked the other way when Morrissey was censored? Or was Morrissey happy to be censored by the Evil Eavis Dairy Devils so he could prance about in the rain getting heavy media exposure before the abyssmal Neo-Liberal u2 yawnathon?
