Andy Rourke's musical statement about his new group 'Blitz Vega' is that "It's fresh, it's present, it's here, it's now and it's relevant!". Andy Rourke sounds very happy, positive and optimistic about his new group. He has lost quite a lot of weight and is looking healthy. See link:

Love Andy's personal take on the Smiths and relationships with Johnny and Morrissey. When's his book coming out?

Music sounds good and rockin'.

This is another interview about Andy Rourke's new group 'Blitz Vega' with Andy Rourke himself & KAV (Kav Sandhu). The hosts are Laura Whitmore & Gordon Smart. Gordon Smart sounds like he might be Scottish. Laura Whitmore sounds like she might be Irish. Laura Whitmore is a pretty lady she reminds me a bit of the supermodel Kate Moss in terms of her looks. This is taken from Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV. See link:

Andy Rourke hasn't brought out his autobiography or his memoirs yet. I think that it is unlikely he will be writing a book anytime soon.

Andy Rourke has attempted to write an autobiography in the past called something like "Andy Rourke: My Life with The Smiths" or "Andy Rourke: My Life in The Smiths" or "Andy Rourke: Inside and Outside The Smiths". I don't know what happened I think he got some money from a book publishers to write a book but nothing happened he wasn't able to write a book back then.

You might be interested in this interview/conversation that Andy Rourke did with his good friend Peter Hook. They talk about Morrissey's book "Autobiography" in the conversation. Peter Hook has written 3 books so far! Peter Hook talks about his books in the conversation. I hope that this link works for you. It is also available on 'SoundCloud':

I really like Morrissey's book "Autobiography". I haven't read Morrissey's other recent book yet a novel called "List of the Lost". I understand that Morrissey has written some other books, articles and has created fanzines in the past as well as his songwriting and poetry. Morrissey used to write into the NME when he was very young and he even wrote scripts for television rather than for the stage/theatre or for films.

Andy Rourke says in his interview/conversation with Peter Hook that Mike Joyce and Craig Gannon have brought out autobiographies. Is this true?

I think that the original bass guitarist in The Smiths was Morrissey's friend Steve Pomfret. I think that Steve Pomfret might have also been friends with Johnny Marr. Do you know if Steve Pomfret has written any books?

The next bass guitarist in The Smiths was Dale Hibbert. Dale Hibbert's memoirs a book called "Boy, Interrupted: Memoir of a Former Smith" is a great read. I really like Dale Hibbert's book. The title of his book reminds me of the painting "Girl Interrupted at Her Music" and the autobiographical book which was later made into a film called "Girl, Interrupted".

The original drummer in The Smiths was Simon Wolstencroft ("Funky Si") has brought out a book his memoirs called "You Can Drum But You Can't Hide" it is a fascinating read.

I think that Ivor Perry (from 'Easterhouse') was very briefly the lead guitarist in The Smiths after Johnny Marr left the group. I don't know if he has brought out any books?

I haven't read Johnny Marr's autobiography called "Set the Boy Free".

Do you know much about John Porter the record producer who worked with The Smiths? From what I understand he is a bass guitarist. I think he was friends with Johnny Marr.

I meant that the conversation/interview thing that Andy Rourke did with his good friend Peter Hook is on the 'Talkhouse Music Podcast' as well as being on 'SoundCloud':

https://www.talkhouse.com/peter-hoo...-rourke-smiths-d-r-k-talkhouse-music-podcast/

Andy Rourke was in the rock supergroup 'Freebass' with Peter Hook and Mani. Andy Rourke has also played live at some of Peter Hook's own gigs.

Peter Hook has written 3 books so far and has had them all published!

I can't find Mike Joyce's autobiography/memoirs anywhere I don't think that Mike Joyce has brought a book out yet.

I think that Craig Gannon is possibly in the process of writing his autobiography but nothing has materialised yet.

This is another conversation/interview thing that Andy Rourke did with his good friend Dolores O'Riordan (from The Cranberries). Dolores O'Riordan died tragically last year in January 2018 at the age of 46. Andy Rourke was in the band D.A.R.K. with Dolores O'Riordan and her boyfriend Olé Koretsky. This is in tribute to Dolores O'Riordan:

Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Dale Hibbert and Simon Wolstencroft ("Funky Si") have all brought out their autobiographies/memoirs.

Caught Andy and BV at the recent show they did here in LA. Wasn't sure what to expect as I wasn't familiar with the stuff they'd been working on other than the single they'd released (which is pretty good). The show was great and glad I went. He's a great cat... nice guy and very approachable and I hope they do well. Well worth checking out if they play near you.

As well as Andy Rourke's work with his new band 'Blitz Vega' (abbreviation B.V.). Currently, Andy Rourke is signed to BMG as a writer and works on various projects for film and television, such as Northern Blvd (Film) and Rebel (Short), but most recently he composed music for the TV show Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain.

In his spare time, Andy Rourke DJ’s worldwide, as well as creates remixes, including “Breakneck Speed” by Tokyo Police Club, “Washed Up” by The Glass, and “Long Night Out” by MAG!

Isn't Morrissey also signed to BMG?

Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain - Andy Rourke talks about the making of the Score:

Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain - Episode Nine: Rachel Rosenkrantz. Andy Rourke gets a hand made guitar custom-made especially for him. Andy Rourke comes in towards the end around 9:30 to collect his guitar:

Anthony Bourdain was a very well respected American celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian who starred in programs focusing on the exploration of international culture, cuisine, and the human condition. Anthony Bourdain tragically died while on location in France last year on June 8th, 2018 he was 61.

Andy Rourke's good friend Dolores O'Riordan (the Irish lead singer with The Cranberries) also tragically died last year, at the London Hilton on Park Lane hotel in Mayfair in London, England on 15th January, 2018 she was only 46.

It must of been very tough for Andy Rourke losing two of his close friends and work colleagues Anthony Bourdain and Dolores O'Riordan last year.

Andy Rourke is playing bass guitar with his new band 'Blitz Vega' at the moment. They have a new single out called "Hey Christo" I think it is actually their debut single. You might be able to get to some of their gigs. 'Blitz Vega' is abbreviated to B.V.

Andy Rourke is far more more than just an international DJ! In fact Andy Rourke doesn't like it if people call him a "DJ".

Currently, Andy Rourke is signed to BMG as a writer and works on various projects for film and television, such as Northern Blvd (Film) and Rebel (Short). Andy Rourke composed music for the TV show Raw Craft with Anthony Bourdain. This was before Anthony Bourdain's tragic death last year.

Andy Rourke also creates remixes, including “Breakneck Speed” by Tokyo Police Club, “Washed Up” by The Glass, and “Long Night Out” by MAG!

Andy Rourke has had a handmade bass guitar custom-made especially for him. Please see the post above! There is a video there about this. Andy Rourke really loves his guitars.

Andy Rourke is a composer, songwriter and musician first and foremost! In his spare time he does remixing, record producing and DJ'ing.

It must of been very tough for Andy Rourke losing two of his close friends and work colleagues Anthony Bourdain and Dolores O'Riordan last year.

Andy Rourke has started to do acting. Andy Rourke is part of the New York underground TV Show: "New Vague City" by KiNo. In "New Vague City", the dominant socio-political and mainstream vagueness of the 20th century is crumbling, pressurised under the prevalent uncertainty of the new millennium. Centred around a psychedelic poet, representing New York City, a group of individuals open up their rabbit holes to their diverse environments. The "New Vague City" name is sort of like a play on New York City.

There is a short teaser video from the "New Vague City" TV show on YouTube called "Andy Rourke: Neighbours Been Complaining", but it is just a short video though.

Andy Rourke is part of the New York underground TV Show: "New Vague City" by KiNo. It seems to be an underground reality TV show. "New Vague City" chronicles the creative revolt of a New York City musician and his friends from the underground against the newly formed commercialism of the 21st century. The TV series seems to of started in 2017. This might be one of Andy Rourke's first acting roles. I suppose that making music videos is similar to acting in films.

"New Vague City" is an American reality TV show set in New York City but it looks like it is also available in the UK. "New Vague City" Apple Podcasts see link: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/new-vague-city/id1111815564

This is KiNo's Twitter for more info: https://twitter.com/PoetKiNo

KiNo sounds like he is a really creative guy. All his various projects look interesting. I think he is a poet.

Andy Rourke also stars in KiNo's feature film "Poet of Sound and Image" which came out in 2017. This is the trailer for the film:
