That's right. I don't see PJ on it. Mandy Moore is a nice person so I wouldn't include her. Britney Spears? I am shocked that she lost her virginity to Justin and she did the deed with Fred Durst on the rebound.

> 50 - Iron Butterfly
> 49 - Toad The Wet Sprocket
> 48 - Master P
> 47 - Goo Goo Dolls

they can put these guys on the list, but not Bryan Adams?

> 46 - The Spin Doctors
> 45 - Gipsy Kings

what?

> 44 - Manowar
> 43 - Mike & The Mechanics
> 42 - Rick Wakeman
> 41 - Whitesnake

i think they were too afraid to say "white pride" or whatever that band's name was that burned down their venue a couple of months ago.

> 40 - Blind Melon

Candlebox and Silverchair fall in somewhere about here.

> 39 - Bob Geldof
> 38 - Nelson
> 37 - The Doors

they had several classic songs and are considered crap...looks like some punk at the magazine threw that one in there to cause "controversy"

> 36 - 98 Degrees
> 35 - Paul Oakenfold
> 34 - Live
> 33 - Japan
> 32 - The Hooters

and not Hootie and the Blowfish?

> 31 - Arrested Development
> 30 - Richard Marx

he had a good mullet.

> 29 - Skinny Puppy
> 28 - Crash Test Dummies
> 27 - Color Me Badd
> 26 - Celene Dion
> 25 - Jamiroquai

hey they had good vocals. remove these guys from the list and replace with the names "Cast" and "Semisonic"

> 24 - Bad English
> 23 - Creed

they fed their lead singer a lot of cheese and let him record his vocal from the bathroom.

> 22 - Primus
> 21 - The Alan Parsons Project
> 20 - Howard Jones

even when the Gin Blossoms are back to flipping burgers again?

> 19 - Dan Fogelberg
> 18 - Pat Boone

that was too easy.

> 17 - Benzino
> 16 - Oingo Boingo

deadman's party was cool! its the basis of every 80's movie out there.

> 15 - Yanni
> 14 - Yngwie Malmsteen
> 13 - Mick Jagger (solo)

forget this guy and put in someone like John Mayer.

> 12 - Tin Machine

> 11 - Latoya Jackson

oh that was too easy.

> 10 - Air Supply

and so was this one.

> 9 - Lee Greenwood

AKA "the guy who doesn't see a paycheck until there is a national catastrophe"

> 8 - Vanilla Ice

Snow was worse!

> 7 - Asia
> 6 - Kansas
> 5 - Starship
> 4 - Kenny G
> 3 - Michael Bolton

simply red was obviously so bad that they were completely forgotten by the staff.

> 2 - Emerson, Lake & Palmer
> 1 - Insane Clown Posse

who? i think they had a song once, but i'm not completely sure.

The Doors were over-rated but don't really belong in a "50 worst", Rick Wakeman was insufferable, but is also undeserving. You may want to punch Jamiroquai, but at least you can dance to his stuff, so they probably have more of a place in the scheme of things than Toad the Wet f-ing Sprocket.

I know at least one person who'll be tracking down the editors of Blender and using aforementioned kitchen implement on their genitalia for the placement of "Emerson Lake and Palmer". And where the fuck is Genesis on this list????

Silverchair...

... deserve a guernsey, because otherwise the only Australian act in there is "Air Supply". We have our national pride to consider and Australia has unquestionably contributed more than 2% of the crap music in this world.

Personally I think "Men at Work" could probably also slide in neatly somewhere near the top. And bugger me sideways with a fish fork if "Crowded House" wouldn't flesh this list out nicely!

I thought Crowded House were from New Zealand, Bore. Just goes to show how little I know.

Can I have the name of this person, Bore?? I'll go one better than Jack Ruby and get to him BEFORE he does the deed.
My only gripe is that ELP should've been #1 but hey,I'll let it pass.

Thats right, Pearl Jam would never make a list like that.

Megan, PJ would only be on the top 50 bands of all time.

No, it's one of those things that depends on your terminology. The Finn Brothers (who were only half of Crowded House) were NZ born (the other guys were Aussies), but as most kiwis emigrate to Australia sometime around the onset of adolescence we can claim them as Australian citizens. They had their farewell concert at the Sydney Opera House, anyway so I reckon that settles it.

Oh yes, oh yes....

An excellent nomination, but I would hardly expect anyone around here to actually remember them!

Nice one, worm. (Not too many times in my life I'll have cause to say that!)

David Gray's first two albums are actually stunning.

A shame considering the horrible blandness of everything post-White Ladder. I blame success. The bastard.
