Bicycle ride around smiths landmarks

WOOT! Link from today's Guardian!

The Guardian has this link in todays GUIDE...

tinyurl.com/36hc7h

It's prefaced by this sentence..."Punctured bicycles on a hillside desolate are so inevitable..."

Yay! See you next week!

Do you see me complaining? If this board needs one thing, it's more chimp porn. Bad luck at Fulham BTW, cracking game.

Peter

I was replying to the other person, (she's sat there watching the omen) but rather than communicate in the old fashioned way, well techno is the way forward eh? :)

Aye we were robbed eh, twas a deffo off-sidey that took the Dunster out of his place to allow the Murph to score but what they hey, still early days we'll smash this league piece o pish!

hope the behinds are pile free for sunday lads
or we should indeed have entitled the event seat is murder
as suggested by fellow forum poster
look out for us in the preview section of guardian guide on saturday too!

The SLC website says that the ride starts at 10.30 - so what time is everyone planning to get there?

Is it a case of turn up at 10.25 and set off? Or will we need to register? Presumably the rest of the fun and games (ice cream vans etc...) will be ready by the time the ride finishes (11.30 for the serious riders, 5.30 for the rest of us!).

This will be an experience I'll never forget. Am looking forward to meeting everyone I think. It's going to be crazy. I leave in 3 days and hope I'm ready.

Hello all - first real post, though I've been lurking a while!
I've got a bike, my sponsor form and the enthusiasm, however I'm seriously worried that I will be taking on too much! I haven't ridden a bike for about 20 years! I managed to get to the top of Snowdon for charity a few months back, so I should have the stamina, I'm just lacking in experience and confidence - so, should I give it a try or will I be a danger to all concerned?! Honest opinions please! :)

M23 has just been diagnosed with the old farmer giles & I saw his bike in the cupboard last week, it's only just in better condition than him, so I think if anyone needs a helping hand/shove/shoulder/plaster/ointment applier than it'll be him, you'll look like Chris Boardman alongside him.

Have no worries we are cycling for the Lads Club & for a laugh or crack in M23's case! :)

see you at the weekend

That's too funny and makes for an odd 1st impression of someone. I think I'm crazy.
Yeah you need to be there, hell if I can show up then so can you. I haven't rode a bike in 20 yrs have been riding for about 2 months maybe. Least I'll be somewhat prepared.

Where is the lads club in relation to the nearest tram or bus station? I don't know Salford at all really, but want to come and support you guys.

what you want is the sainsbury's on Regent Rd, it's on your right as you go up, you shouldn't miss it. Go through the lights & I think it's the 1st left, Gloucester St then 1st right on to Coronation St & SLC is top of the street.
