i'd like you to name some of your favorite song covers, since i seem to be in this "this song would sound better being sang by another person" phase. well, just lists a few tracks, if you so kindly would, make a few comments here and there.

How about:

Travis' version of "Hit Me Baby One More Time"?
or
Cakes' version of "I Will Survive"?

They stick out for me.

Come Up and See Me (Make Me Smile) by Erasure

The original Cockney Rebels version is ok, but Steve Harley just kinda mumbles the best line in the song. Christ, what we he thinking?

Lemme find the Erasure version and upload it for you kids (might take a few hours).

Also, the video for the Erasure cover is AMAZING. It has the quality of my best dreams.

Hm. Probably tons of good ones, but lately I've really liked "I Melt With You" by Nouvelle Vague.

I like Nouvelle Vague's "Just Can't get Enough". The original was great, and there's no point dpoing a 'similar' cover so an acoustic version is just about right.

Oasis did a fantastic job with Slade's 'Cum On Feel The Noize".
