Maybe there's already a thread for this...but I didn't see one...

The new year is only a few months away...what have been your favorite albums of 2007 (so far)? Still working on my list but I would love to see what yours is...

Like 2006, it's been another disappointing year. For me there hasn't been a single new band come through that I really liked. I'm not even feeling the new P. J. Harvey record! Two Gallants have a new LP coming out in a week and I'm a big fan of them and I've been listening to the Thurston Moore album ('Trees Out Side The Academy) quite a bit recently so perhaps things will change but my Top Ten, right now, would go something like this:

1 edgar ‘jones’ jones GETTIN’ A LITTLE HELP FROM THE JONSES
2 of montreal HISSING FAUNA, ARE YOU THE DESTROYER?
3 king creosote BOMBSHELL
4 richard swift DRESSED UP FOR THE LET DOWN
5 the white stripes ICKY THUMP
6 little barrie STAND YOUR GROUND
7 dinosaur jr. BEYOND
8 edwyn collins HOME AGAIN
9 explosions in the sky ALL OF A SUDDEN I MISS EVERYONE
10 wild billy childish PUNK ROCK AT THE BRITISH LEGION HALL
