This was an NME poll, the Smiths appeared several times:

number 21: Panic

number 11: This Charming Man

number 7: How Soon is Now

number 4: There is a light...

Oasis were number one, Nirvana were number two, and Pulp were number three.

I watched it this morning on MTV2. Pulp beating The Smiths is a complete farce especially that joke of a song Common People! Surprised no Morrissey songs were in the list though.

I like Pulp, but that is by no means their best song, I was really disappointed that it was that one actually. And you're right about the lack of Morrissey songs, I thought Suedehead or Everyday is like Sunday might get in, at least.
