I have often found that Morrissey's albums often begin and end quite spectacularly, a lot of times featuring the albums best work, so what is everyone’s pick for his strongest start and finish?
Haven’t included The Smiths, or any of the revised versions of deluxe editions.

I voted for Southpaw Grammar because Southpaw is one of the greatest songs ever and most definitely the best album closer. Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and even California Son are also worthy contestants though.

More in the middle of my album rankings but vauxhall easily takes the spot here. Interesting to me was that my second choice was low in high school which is also more towards the middle of my preferences

Vauxhall takes it for me, and surprisingly Quarry is last. American is not the world is bad, and You Know I couldn't last is above average.

I thought 'You Know I couldn't Last' was a terrible way to end what is a great album, but seeing it performed live (Edinburgh 2006?), blew me away.
