I would love to believe that the questioning of the relationship between humans and animals has been done this way because he is saying 'yes we all love our pets/coo over little chickies etc, so why do we eat them..

I saw the news thingy and it showed those chicken nuggets, and the fishfinger swimming in a fish tank, and was disgusted to begin with, but now the optimist in me is hoping that he is trying to say 'look how cruel we are, etc' ...
it'd be so nice, but i doubt it

at the very least if it makes a few people realise the connection between cute chickens and their dinner and are horrified enough to becoem veggie, then hes done a good thing.
