Re: The Stone Roses

He's made of stone, she's a waterfall, they're a cesspool.

Re: T.Rex

Oh! they were awful. Having got through the summer with Woolworths using their song 'Another wet summer' now I'm having to endure that damn mobile company using '20th century boy' all over their ads. Don't know WHAT Morrissey saw in T.Rex.

Re: T.Rex

It's not just Morrissey, it's Marr as well.
They influenced him as a child,
he nicked 'Panic' from their song 'Metal Guru' I think.

Any of the new crop of female pop singers (J. Ho, Britney, Christina, Kelly Clarkson, Dido, Jewel, Avril, Liz Phair, Sheryl Crow), Matchbox 20, Blink 182, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Limp Bizkit, Alanis Morrissette, Justin Timberlake, Smash Mouth...I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them at the moment.

no! no! no!

well, I hate Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Toploader, David Gray, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Staind, all prog rock, all modern R & B and ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

Re: Forgot to mention Depeche Mode

I'm not even going to acknowledge plastic manufactured pop, or that waste of space Robbie Williams, and as for r&b it really does make me spew.

Woolworths used a T.rex song? News to me. Didn't know. Not interested.
Mobile co. use a T.rex song? News to me. Didn't know. Not interested.

As his mozness recently said about the way we're treated by television -" I often wonder who they think is watching".

Well, it's not me so it must be people like you. Aren't you offended at the way they insult your intelligence?

But Dumbles.. I thrive on your recommendations!! @At the Drive in' were a massive discovery.. For your collection I'd suggest the new Cooper Temple Clause Album.. and the New Simple Kid.. Both these will be respected and classic releases of 2003.

What other songs moves you to tears? In a good way?

Most of what’s already been posted, except for the Stone Roses, and I like early Blur, too.

Those R&B bands where the blokes sound as though they are in pain and the women all warble at once
All dance/trance/pants/ “phat choons” Oh please…
Radiohead
Manic Street Preachers
Coldplay
Nirvana

What is it about those Stone Roses which people like?
I truly don't get it.

Re: I hate all of the bands and stuff that have been mentioned above AND

The f***in Beatles and T. f***in Rex. Toe-curlingly shite - both of 'em.
Get a grip, kids. Don't go with the hype. Listen to the words. I'd be amazed if most of you weren't capable of that at fourteen.
Or, in T. f***in Rex's case, four.

Re: I hate all of the bands and stuff that have been mentioned above AND

And it takes a lot to get me swearing.

Now.......tea. What'll I have?

They're my second favourite band. Life affirming music. But that's just my opinion.
