Taken from the forthcoming album?

Presumably from this forthcoming cover album. Strange to have this single announced before any official album announcement/information.

Probably only available as a 7'' anyway for special edition's sake rather than on CD.

Back in the old days (80s/90s?) singles would come out months before the album was released. Does that still happen on a regular basis?

Who’s the image?

From my admittedly recent experience the singles are typically released well in advance of the album but still after the information about it came out.

Germaine Greer, Australian writer , still alive btw.
Funny, she has this brilliant quote: Women have very little idea of how much men hate them.

It's an interesting photo but an appalling cover design. There is an art to laying out type which is what designers are paid for. When people (eg Sam) cobble it together themselves, that's the sort of shitty mess you generally end up with. Also, the way the portrait is cropped so tight means you lose the pose which is the most interesting part of it.

Edit:
Her use is interesting - it reminded me of this article in June:

What Morrissey and Germaine Greer have in common.

What does one put as a B-Side to a cover song? A new original? Another studio cover? A live cover? A live original? Any of the above?

I suppose "Satellite of Love" is our precedent here, and that had a bit everything for B-Sides in the various formats. Though nothing "new".

I love the song and the photo - really looking forward to hearing it. Agree about the design though; the tracking is all over the place, the 45 in the corner is oddly sized and looks squashed, 'Morrissey' looks like an afterthought.
