Wow. I don't really know much about the Blue Rose Society or Morrissey's World. I've been a Morrissey fan for awhile, but I just only recently stumbled on the very creepy world of his online "fans."

The Blue Rose stuff seems crazy, but honestly a lot of the people on this site seem pretty unhinged as well. I've seen Morrissey twice now with two different people and both times Kyle jumped on stage. Both of the people I went with thought it was pretty cool and so did I.

I'm not going to say I'm not creeped out by pictures of an 11 year old boy hanging out with a masked man, but I also find the fact that relatively anonymous adults are cyber bulling said 11 year old on this site to be deeply troulbing. If 25% of that letter is true (i.e. Kyle's dad deciding not to take Kyle to House of Blues concert because of comments on this site not the nuttery about blue roses and secret websites) than there are some people on this website who need to feel absolutely ashamed of themselves. Ashamed.

Everyone needs to chill out. This kid is 11--leave him the fuck alone.
I agree about leaving the kid alone, but I doubt any of this is about anyone here cyberbullying him; rather, it's his dad picking up on how creepy the "masked man" is.

If the MorrisseysWorld and Blue Rose Society wasn't a part of this, NO one would care. Its the fact the child is being used in a stupid conspiracy theory that is the creepy part. Not his fandom, nor his dad's. No one here hates Kyle or his dad, from what I've read. Now, Ratty is another matter.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

Seriously, how am I being hypocritical? Because I could care less about two middle age men with dueling Morrissey websites name calling each other, but I care that an 11 year-old child who posts on neither website was unable to attend a concert because of comments by strangers made about him on the internet?

Like I said I don't know anything about the Blue Rose Society, but from what I've seen it looks creepy. I also think people fixating on an 11 year old they don't know is somewhat disturbing as well. I am saddened by how this situation has evolved. I am saddened by it independent of all the bullshit drama involving this site or another site, or fake flowers and wacky tumblr conspiracies. I don't care about those things. But I do think we should be concerned by how our actions have effected an 11 year old kid. Sadly, you're not capable of doing this--you just want to turn this incident into an opportunity to try to portray yourself as some kind of victim or martyr. That's really pathetic. He's a child, you're an adult. Get some perspective.

OK. Some guy invents a bullshit 'society' and gets a kid involved. Some people comment on it, some people are upset at some of the comments here. And say so, in comments such as yours, right here, on this site.

The same guy runs a couple of blogs, where I and a couple of others are relentlessly slagged off and no recourse allowed.

All those complaining about bullying are hypocrites. If you want to discuss it, discuss it here, don't send me shitty messages on Twitter, like some of you slagging me off have been doing.

And one more thing about this fucking ridiculous charade. I am known here, people know my name, I have nothing to hide. The character who runs the blog and his cohorts hide their names and wear masks in pictures with kids. That's pretty cowardly, shooting from behind a fence, when no one can see you.

A further thing. For a site that's been deemed a cesspool, and irrelevant, inter alia, those responsible for this shameful episode are sure making a shitload of posts on a site they hate.

Ok. Mate. Let's have specifics here. Show me evidence, posts here that precipitated what you say is the episode where this kid could not attend a concert. Let's discuss each point. And let's discuss what the kid and his dad themselves said about the posts here. Because, and I could be wrong here, neither visit the site. So lets look at the background here - please post any evidence you have, posts, links, external stuff.

Oh, you have got it soooo wrong. I couldn't give TWO SHITS about being a martyr. I really could not care less. Literally. I have had far, far worse than anything those involved in this sorry episode can throw my way. Far worse. So don't get all haughty about it. I don't care. What I do care about is the truth, so let's start talking about it, as I indicate in this post.

If you go back and read the posts of the Brooklyn show you will find zero cyberbulling of the child. Attacks toward his father getting caught up with the Ratman though, yes. If you are a Morrissey fan of any age, gender, or race, by all means go and enjoy the show or don't enjoy the show, and let the web know what you thought or don't let the web know what you thought. Just shut the f up about a bs conspiracy.

You do realize that Morrissey thinks every word he says is gold, correct? You do realize that Morrissey doesn't have a record deal and the only way he is making money is via touring and his book advance, correct? Why do you think he doesn't use twitter? Why do you think he doesn't have a tumblr? BECAUSE HE ISN'T GETTING PAID!
Morrissey WOULD have a blog if he could set up a subscription service because hundreds of thousands of people would read it and PAY for it and gladly so. That's why MorrisseysWorld isn't real! SO SHUT THE F UP!

Let's talk about the show. It was good. Even Kristeen is getting better. She had the best line of the night. "Did you gamble today? Do you gamble everyday?"

Boz is looking like Winston Churchill with age. He'd come up to the front of the stage and do this thing where he put his hand to his face. If anyone can explain it for me, I'm all ears.

I liked the I Wont Share You lyrics in Speedway, too. I thought Moz was extra gracious last night, mentioning a couple of times how much the fans meant to him.

He mentioned the fog in AC and said we're lucky, because where he's from, the foggiest month of the year is July.

The crowd was stranger than most. I think the biggest reason for that is because the GA crowd was bigger than most. It was packed in the cavernous HOB downstairs (at least 2000). This was no Orange Peel.

The other problem is everyone had traveled from somewhere to see that show. There was no hometown crowd there who casually showed up late and who were just happy to see Moz in their AC. Everyone in advance had traveled there, got in line early and wanted to get close.

The GA tickets were overpriced at $89 a piece with fees. For that price, you feel the need to get at least 15th row.

I'll admit to being glued to my phone during KY, but I won't apologize. Not out of disrespect to her, but because my Baltimore Ravens at that moment were locked in double overtime over the Denver Broncos...and won.

From lining up to end of the show, I was on my feet constantly for 4 1/2 hours, and there are too many late shows who push past you to get closer. I was standing in front of a man who had the physique of Governor Christe, and I had to keep moving my head all night just to see around his massive, writhing frame.

At 43, that will probably go in the books as my last GA Moz gig. Wish I could be one of the people who can sit at the bar in comfort for the duration of the show. I love the Mozzer too much to do that.

I am thrilled that I am seated at next week's gig and even more so that the seat is in the Pit. My old feet have earned it. See you in Reading.

Glad to see you are a reader of the blog xx
I'm not. However when people have "cryptically" written in this thread

Moz pissy tonite...hmmm wonder why?? Oh, I know why...
then it doesn't take a genius to find the source of such fuckwittery.

Oh yeah. I think it's cute when a little kid on dad's shoulders gives Moz a hug, but when you start thinking you're going to put your kid on stage every night, it is a bit presumptuous and you can bet there will be people flaming you on the internet.

Any criticism should not be on the child, but by an ADULT who installs the child as the head of a group where some question that group's legitimacy. The adult makes the kid a 'public figure' (under defamation law definitions) and then the same adult is aghast when people comment on the public figure that the adult created. Perhaps the adult should have considered the consequences, since the adult is presumbaly far more likely to understand the broad range of unfiltered opinions that come from Morrissey fans.

That's my two cents. That crowd was a little rough for the kid last night anyway. His dad made the right call, no matter the reason.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

I think everyone has treated the little boy and his dad very kindly at the shows. It was cute seeing him onstage the first time, and Moz actually called for him in Long Island. I think making it a regular occurrence is not a great idea, if for no other reason than when the more burly and intoxicated people at certain gigs try to get up there, the little tyke might get caught in the crossfire accidentally. I'd hate to see him in the middle of a tussle between some overzealous fat guy and Arturo.

As far as the Blue Rose Oyster Cult Society thing...it really is pretty creepy. The guy who brings all the roses wasn't in AC either...which makes me wonder if he is the ringleader of those tormenters. His annoying rose throwing would have made the gig even less stellar than it already was.

I give last nights show a 4 out of 10. 6 points lost for the 5 foot high stage, the barrier, the drunken idiots (of which the lasses were worst than the lads), the lack of an encore, Moz's low energy over the high stage (he commented that we all looked like we were in a hole), and because I lost $100 at Blackjack to add insult to injury.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

I hope Red Bank makes up for the awful crowd (some exceptions of course, thank you all) at AC. I think MOZ was bored with the lame crowd and felt no need to continue after Meat is Murder. That song ended at 11:20 and he never came back out. I saw a ton of people on Facebook which was awful and weird to me. Enjoy the moment people! Love Morrissey and I'm sure there was a reason why no encore, it upset me but we will see what happens Tuesday.

Like I qualified in my original post "if this is true..." My only source is the same as everyone else's. I don't know how reliable it is and I guess only time will tell what exactly has transpired. Like I said I have zero interest in the Blue Rose Society. Zero. I am not really that familiar with it so maybe I did step in prematurely. That being sad I was deeply saddened that Kyle's family felt uncomfortable for whatever and that they could not attend the show at Atlantic City. Maybe it was because of this website, maybe it was because of masked men and their flower fixations. I do not know. It's a sad situation.

I do know from lurking on this site that people can be very snarky. I just want everyone to remember that we are talking about an 11 year old child who is not a public figure and maybe think before we post things on the internet about him? That's all I am saying. I am not defending the Blue Rose Society or anything else.

As far as the martyr comment, quite frankly I found your response to my concern to be quite callous as you immediately started in about all the mean things people have said about you on the internet. I don't really know anything about this feud and I don't care. I'm not taking sides on the Blue Rose Society or you versus whomever. I just want people to be more cautious about writing about an 11 year old child on the internet. Maybe I was overzealous in my initial comment, but I don't see how it's so hard for people to understand where I am coming from.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

Awful and unruly crowd last night. Most people were more concerned about being at the bar than watching Morrissey. Too many talkative drunks shouting incoherent phrases towards the stage as well. I also noticed two fistfights over spots. One person got knocked out. I don't blame Morrissey for wanting to get out of that shithole.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

good show. younger people was not showing proper indie rock etiquette and were continually pushing through the crowd. morrissey definitely ended early because of lukewarm reaction to Meat is Murder. "Do you care when animals die?" then morrissey said, "do you care at all?" and walked off. that's why he's morrissey and the show was great so I'm good. Here's hoping I finally get to hear sweet and tender hooligan in Reading.

I agree. I've loved Morrissey since the 80s and have pretty much avoided all of the interviews, theories, and gossip regarding the man. To me, the music is what is important and, other than that, leave the man alone. And, for goodness sakes, leave Kyle alone too. Some of you really need to find something better to do with your time. I mean seriously, I listen to Morrissey every single day and have been to the 2 shows he had in my hometown. You can be a true admirer of the man and his talent without all of the garbage that takes place on this site.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

Overall, the content of the show was great, except for the previously mentioned drunks and skanks in the audience. Unfortunately, being from New Jersey, this is a hazard that must be endured in AC; however, it is unfair to condemn the entire audience. The front rows were singing, screaming, and hooting for our man. There did seem to be some technical problems in early songs, but Morrissey was not getting pissy about it; in fact, he was laughing at several of the incidents (well, smirking; I've seen him smile, but I've never really heard him laugh...I wonder if Morrissey is ticklish....new drunken fantasy for tonight, anyway...) I have seen him throw a hissy at concerts before, but that did not seem to be the case this time. I was talking to someone who works for Showboat when I was checking out this morning and he said that he heard that the show was going too long, and because of the large number of union workers employed by the casino, there is a strictly enforced time limit. If the artist goes over time, he/she has to pay the workers double. I love Morrissey mind, heart, body, and soul, but I do not think that he would be keen on paying extra. This would also explain why K Y cut her set short. Additionally, it was a late show, and our beloved does need his beauty sleep. I have been reading this site for over a decade and it still amazes me how quickly so many people jump to conclusions about Morrissey's character. God (MOZ) forbid he gets seriously ill, then this site will blow up with hundreds of warm wishes. The man is a literary genious, and with great brilliance often comes difficult temperment. It is safe to say that Morrissey has some emotional issues and he is socially awkward, he has told us this for years. Do you really think attacking him will help? I am always greatful for the opportunity to see and hear him; so we heard a full set, but no encore; in the scheme of things, is this really that tragic? On a positive note, the employee from Showboat also said that this was one of the highest ticket selling shows that they have ever had. That is testimonial to the man's greatness. He is far from perfect, but he is pretty damn fulfilling, like a chocolate covered orgasm. One last thought, security was collecting flowers from people in line, stating that Morrissey had instructed that he did not want them thrown on stage. So, it does not seem like he is interested in receiving any creepy blue roses. Just my opinion. Long Live Morrissey. See you at Reading.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

I've seen Morrissey half a dozen times. Last night was the worst because of the lame ending. Moz is a pro. He's not allowed to take a night off. Lebron James plays 82 games a year (and works a lot harder than Moz). He's been quoted as saying that he never takes a night off because you never know when someone might be seeing you play for the first time. Joe DiMaggio used to say the same thing. I wish Moz had that attitude. I won't be back anytime soon.

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

well maybe he was in pain from being stangled past gig, the man gets 53, keep that is mind

Morrissey is not the energetic stage racer anymore, he's 53, but his voice keeps on going better.
He's in good condition, but sometimes the feeling the show doesn't run, and you know how bitching he canbe
just ending the show as he likes [throwing water, cancel]

viva Morrissey, the tour is just started in the USA 2013.
English is obviously not your first language, or 2nd, or possibly 3rd?

- marred.

I was front and center last night, one person behind the barrier and I gotta say, I thought last night's set was great. For the most part, it was a very solid set list. Of course there are always a few songs that I'd prefer to hear over others, but I can certainly deal with that. Down where I was, the crowd was fine, people were singing along and enjoying themselves. Not sure what was going on up in the balcony or even what was going on behind me, but anywhere and everywhere I looked, everything was cool. Of course I was slightly disappointed with the lack of an encore or a proper goodbye, but I thought the overall set was so good, that I could see past there not being an encore. Looking forward to Red Bank, NJ on Tuesday!

Re: Article: Atlantic City, NJ - House of Blues at Showboat Atlantic City (Jan. 12, 2

I thought the show last night was quite enjoyable. I liked the set Morrissey played and the people in the area I was standing were singing along to every song just like I was. Hearing Maladjusted live was a real treat. It's also the first time I have heard November Spawned a Monster live. I figured they just played everything straight through and didn't do an encore which I assumed was going to be Meat is Murder. An awesome song....especially live....but that video is extremely unpleasant to watch. Unlike the PETA girls who were gorgeous. I love going to Moz shows, so I have no complaints. What's wrong Boz? Arm or shoulder injury?
