I wouldn't say it's been bugging me on a daily basis, but I realised yesterday that the chords in At Last I Am Born are almost exactly the same as McCarthy's Red Sleeping Beauty. When it gets going, about the 1m mark. And what a great song it is.

Common origins. Morrissey is probably referencing Jean Genie by David Bowie, which was itself probably based on La fille du pere noel by Jacques Dutronc, who probaby based the riff on I'm A Man by The Yardbirds.
